Throwback to April, when we released my first short, starring the incredible Brittany Gallasch and Danny Chase, with cinematography by Sam Morgan Moore and written by Rebecca Leigh Four festival placements so far, aiming for more next year as this baby is getting reedited soon!
Hey friends! I'm working on a production checklist for early-career short films. I really could have used this a year ago, so I'm hoping it will be helpful to others when it's done!
So, fellow filmmakers, what did I miss? What do you do differently? What would you add? I'm particularly looking for more distribution ideas, since that's where even the best films can fall over. All input is valuable! 💜
I've just wrapped on my latest short, and I think I'll be ready to move on to a feature relatively soon.
My goal is to showcase my skills as a director, get an agent, and direct some television episodes to increase my credibility. The end goal would be to exec produce and direct bigger films.
What advice do you have for moving from shorts into a first feature film?
Had an awesome table read this week for the upcoming film I'm producing and directing. I'm so grateful to be working with the superhero that is screenwriter @MattMerk and our wildly talented cast and crew who are bringing it all to life. So excited to shoot this thing! 🎬 💜
So excited that "The Untimely Revenge of Waffle" has been announced as a Semi-Finalist in the New York International Womens film festival. Big thank yous and congratulations to all of the incredible women involved!
Earlier in the week I had the pleasure of spending the evening chatting with Marc Jobst (The Witcher, Daredevil, The Walking Dead) about directing action. Sharing some of his insights and techniques 👇
