#Genocide needs to be taught in all schools. It's sad to see so many adults who obviously never learned what genocide truly is. They really believe that it's only genocide if almost every person targeted in a genocide is dead. There's more to genocide than only body counts.

@msquebanh I've not had the chance to teach in school much but I'm proud that I did a lesson about genocide. And I pointed out that the Swedish state's long policy of 'reeducation' of indigenous children could be seen as genocidal.

Loukas,

@msquebanh in Sweden the Holocaust is an obligatory part of the curriculum, so I took the chance to explain genocide in context.

If I was a Napierville taxpayer, I'd want at minimum some substantive legal changes to prevent similar abuse. But I'd rather see some folks fired for idiocy.

Reminds me of my colleagues faces when I told them to just use office template files, so that people would no longer misname copies of existing files or mistakenly change last weeks document.

Since opening templates always results in a new unsaved unnamed document. 👍

Yes, me too. I had been to HK in 2017 and 2018 for a couple of weeks each time to visit some friends when I was on my way to VN.
My friends were English teachers in a private school there.
They had been there for 10 yrs at least and really liked it, but left a few months after my last visit because they didn't feel safe anymore.
The Chinese censors threw almost everything they were teaching out, and were quite ruthless about it.
