@KelsonV I see an Atom feed button on my #Friendica profile (<host>/profile/<name>) which opens <host>/dfrn_poll/<name>. Discovery in Feeder gives another Atom feed as well with url <host>/feed/<name>/. The latter seems to work better.
When someone asks about options for servers or clients I have a habit of tagging recommendations, and when there is not an account for the thing, I have to stop and search for a dev or find a website address to link to etc.
Ch.10
If there are subjects I don't want to deal with I can set filter words in my profile settings which will stop certain topics.
#Fediverse & it's different platforms+software have masses of clever tools, & different ways to access. You communicate with people all over the Fediverse, seamlessly
So much more to discover: #PixelFed=Instagram but not trying to sell you stuff #PeerTube=Youtube but not ads based #Friendica=Facebook but not harvesting data #Firefish=slick new Twitter replacement
While some of my old #fediverse connections from my old main #friendica account @hankg made it over to my new account here most didn't. None of my test accounts on D*, Mastodon, or even Friendica did. It's okay account mobility is hard. Once I finish up my Friendica Archive Browser (hopefully today) I'll be using that to figure out my top connections and revive those manually. I'll be posting code and binaries for that as well. Stay tuned.
PixelFed uses the same federation protocol as Mastodon, which means Mastodon users can follow people on PixelFed and vice versa. You can try following a PixelFed account right now such as @Iancylkowski or @JoseMel or @connyduck
You can use PixelFed through a web browser, and there are also free open Android apps like @PixelDroid and FediLab (@apps).
As it uses the ActivityPub protocol, you can follow and interact with accounts on Mastodon etc from Friendica, and vice versa.
You can also follow RSS feeds as if they were Fediverse accounts, and when an RSS item is published on that feed it will appear in your timeline as if it's a Fediverse post.
You can write very long posts on Friendica, you don't have to worry about character limits.
You can use Friendica accounts through the FediLab app, available on @fdroidorg and Google Play.
You can follow the latest news about Friendica on its official blog at @news
