Hey you! We're looking for a talented pixel artist to help with tile sets, backgrounds, and props. If you're interested, please email us some samples of your work.
@pidgeon_pete#ink is a scripting language developed by @inklestudios for the creation of branching narratives - either in text-based games or more graphical ones that use dialog trees/etc.
You can use it with many engines, like #unity or #godotengine but you'll need an interpreter to fit them together.
I've been looking into #ink interpreters for Godot 4 so this week's #gameDev project is going to be a choice-based text adventure. Today I'll be brainstorming, tomorrow I'll build a framework/interpreter, and the rest of the week will be writing the game.
I'll be going for something relatively bare-bones in presentation, but if I get a good feel for it will be able to integrate Ink into future game projects as well.
Check out these lovely screenshots of Rubiko, an RPG in a Box game being made by community member Gamindy! Such a wonderful looking world they're creating. 😍 Boosts very much appreciated! 😊
Thought I'd share a bit more about the sneak peek video posted a few days ago. The primary new feature being showcased is ranged combat within the free movement system! The upcoming release will support hitscan weapons, with projectile weapons coming later. (1/2)
This was made with RPG in a Box! So excited about all of the new possibilities opening up, and it's awesome seeing all of the wonderful projects being created by the community!
Please boost this and help more people discover fun and simple game making! Thank you! ❤️
#DevLog: Today's the last day of polish for this week's game, in which you are a ghost trying to scare children out of your haunted mansion before an evil teddy-bear murders them.
Came up with some #chiptune music that I like for the core game and intermission scenes, wrapped up the title, tweaked the floor tiles a little.
There's more I could do but the point is to spend exactly one week on each of these, so it's time to wrap it up. #gameDev#godotengine
Game Devlog 01 - Yesterday I restarted my #GameDevelopment project. I liked where things were headed before I took a break, but I think a reset will help me focus. Using #Notion, I’m writing out deliverables and tasks and I’m about 20% done preparing for development on the first minor version. It feels a little tedious and I may scale back in the future, but I want to see if the structure will help with this first minor version. #GodotEngine#IndieGameDev
Game Devlog 07 - I added a randomization to the walls between tiles that cross the map. It was difficult to find a method that would allow for strategy, while also limiting the movement of player and enemies. Here are some screenshots of different trials, the last one is the current version. #GameDev#IndieDev#GodotEngine#Godot
