I've seen a good bit of debate on Kbin surrounding downvotes, so what are your thoughts? Should they exist? Should they be shown separately? Should you be able to see who downvoted?...
I really loved @FixedFun 's idea for the kbin mascot, so I decided to refine it a bit and make some color alternatives. All credit to them for this wonderful idea! I merely refined it. Note, the circles beside the logo are just a color pallete swatch, not actually meant to be apart of the logo....
Hi there, the Artemis private beta rollout has just started! @hariette will be emailing 50 signup sheet users, while @lilkev will be adding 50 users from Artemis Discord. The order will be based on the submissions to the private beta signup form, as well as general activity within the Artemis community....
Blahaj zone (the Calckey instance) has been running for around 6 months now. We've had a slow but constant growth of new members, with a big spike when Calckey drew a lot of attention. And as a result, even though we're not a huge instance, we are one of the larger Calckey derived instances around.
lemmy.blahaj.zone on the other hand has seen crazy growth! In the last week, our lemmy instance has gone from almost no members, to nearly as many users as our Calckey instance. The mind blowing part though, is that the lemmy instance isn't even close to being one of the largest lemmy instances. We don't even appear on the first page of Fediverse Observer! And the sheer number of lemmy instances online now is huge compared to where it was a couple of weeks ago.
And that's before we even talk about kbin and the threadiverse as a whole, of which Lemmy is only a part
I can honestly say that this whole thing has shifted my view of just what the future of the fediverse might be. I assumed it would always be microblogging centric, but now, I question that...

A new tab will appear in the user panel where you can create categories (public or private) and then add magazines to them (local or remote). In the magazine listing, there will be another tab that will list public categories...
I heard that votes have been changed to behave closer to how people would expect, and boost is staying here as well. So I had an idea how to bring it all together in the interface....
No dobrze - to jeszcze nie jest oficjalne ogłoszenie artykułu (to nastąpi w czwartek), ale z racji na to, że czuję, iż tutaj społeczność będzie miała trochę do powiedzenia, w Fedi udostępniam tekst wcześniej.
Ma być to artykuł, w którym trochę opowiadam o tym, czym są agregatory treści (nie dla wszystkich może być to oczywiste), ale jednocześnie informuję o czymś takim, jak #kbin i że można to wprowadzać pod swoje strzechy. Przy czym nie jest to żaden tutorial ani poradnik - to raczej pokazanie możliwości i idei, jak można go wykorzystać do różnych celów. Wiadomo - im więcej /kbinów, tym więcej ich użytkowników, a im więcej użytkowników /kbina, tym więcej userów w Fedi.
To okazja do zwerbalizowania tego, o czym jakiś czas temu pisało tutaj parę osób (wykorzystanie /kbina przez urzędy), a dla mnie jednocześnie sposobność do zwizualizowania pomysłu na serwisy sportowe i przy okazji rant na to, co wyprawiają dzienniki w Internecie.
Tekst już jest, ale na razie go nie rozgłaszam publicznie. W tej chwili bardziej jestem ciekawy, czy coś Waszym zdaniem można tutaj dodać lub czy gdzieś nie palnąłem kompletnej głupoty.

Looks like "subreddits" are called "magazines" and are hosted on specific instances. Beyond that, instances look like they work pretty much the same as on Mastodon.
I'm guessing looking at the magazines an instance hosts is a good way to learn about that instance.

This may be useful for folks looking to expand their feed. I discovered this on accident and it completely revolutionized my experience on Kbin....
