Date Calculator is on PostmarketOS!

On GNOME shell mobile too!

Download here: https://github.com/AtiusAmy/net.winscloud.DateCalculator/releases/
(The Flatpak version because the tarball doesn't work on PostmarketOS due to glibc reasons 😅 )

If only my PinePhone wasn't so slow, I'd be all in on .

The Play Store has started notifying app updates for apps installed with F-Droid, and as expected, they cannot be updated. However, the Play Store still shows those failed updates. Does anyone know why this might be happening?

@graves501 I know! 🫣️ I was just totally hypnotized with the Gigaset back then. Reasonably priced, more or less and , with , and even a . It just ticked all my boxes back then. And I think I plain forgot to think about the operating system for a moment and now "I have the salad". 😜️ But, ไม่เป็นไร (it's ok). 🤓️ My next phone will have to be a though. I'll just hold out till then, I guess. 😝️

What's the fastest Phone available with full native Linux support (not halium)?

Is there something better than a One Plus 6 256GB/8GB ?

I am sick of my S10+, since Android 12 I've got constant OS issues breaking Data partition etc.

Damn, doesn't aim to include as a default app source?

Welp, there goes the idea of (paid) indie games for that mobile platform. 😐 Given works on a payment backend it would've been best for 's as a whole to go that route instead of doing their own sandboxing around apk. devices will never get out of the niche they're in that way even if the GUI is ever so fancy.

Couldn't find hard info regarding or about this. 😐

I just noticed that I am using the now for 7 months now as my main device and since 6 months I don't carry a backup device with me anymore even for business trips I only used the Librem 5.

on the gives me the long awaited feeling of a fully usable to travel.

e.g. having a working camera & gps and even a helper to run android apps like wa or organicmaps which are currently not available on
with a native working browser, xmpp and matrix clients its daily driveable (signal is still a showstopper)...

i just love it, thanks to all devs🤩

I forgot to post it but for those of you who (like me) desperately wait for push notifications on your there is a issue for now, it's just to collect ideas and they don't plan to actually implement anything till suspend is figured out (that currently only works for calls and SMS) but it's a start! Big thanks to @agx for the nice conversation we had in their Matrix room! :)

I should definitely try this.

I finally have a break from work to demo the Librem 11 again. I was impressed with the quality of the decryption screen and haven't seen pics online anywhere so I thought I would share that here. There are many things to love so far.

lorendias, to Steamdeck

Here are some photos of the Librem 11 that just arrived today. I ordered on day 1, hopefully this helps people understand the scale of the device -- see comparison.

My initial impressions are extremely impressed but I am pretty easy going considering I really like the pioneering in the space by Purism. I'll write upore on my other account soon.

I definitely missed something, I just installed and it's very much usable on my by now. Even after they got hardware acceleration the app was barely usable and now it seems to be very smooth for any app on that device, especially a web browser! It's still not the fastest but I might switch to it as my main browser or at the very least as secondary one behind because I prefer the interface! Dose anyone know what happened exactly?

I've just seen this picture in the mobile shell page on GitLab and for some reason it made me very happy.

The method

  • Take customer money for a pre-order
  • Never ship out the product in years
  • Ghost the customer when they ask for a refund

tournel,

-- Follow Up --
Looks like grossly underestimated the cost and time needed to develop the promised device and eventually couldn't afford to give refunds without abandoning the project (at least, that's what they claim).
Yet, they kept telling customers that refunds will be given, then ghosting them.

Dear @thunderbird,

Absolutely magnificent update. Pat yaselves on yer back for me. ;)

lorendias,

@RL_Dane @CleoQc @thunderbird The irony of CSD is that vertical space is only more valuable because 16:9 became standard due to TV manufacturers not wanting to have 2 sizes for manufacturing to cut costs.

When 1:1 3:2 5:4 or 16:10 was a thing having a space for a title bar wasn't a problem that needed solving.

I put up with CSD and understand it has optimal use cases such as on but to me 16:9 is the real problem.

Even from past use-cases such as dual or 3 monitor setups 16:9 isn't nearly as optimal as 16:10 or even 5:4 was.

@techlore We need a lot of patience with these kinds of projects or we'll never have a GNU/Linux phone. Remember they managed to do what even Canonical with more money and resources backed out of. @purism said they expect to reach shipping parity soon so I guess all genuine backers and customers should get hopefully by the end of this year at least.
