I was awake since midnight, tried to sleep again at 3am, after surfing online awhile, that was short lived, crazy thoughts kept going through my head, such as; "kill one of these cats. Make an example to the others" and "you want to go out? BOOT, say hello to the raccoons!"

The boxes have handles, and we repurpose them until they wear out. When I emptied it, before I could put it away, Jasper (white) claimed it.
Then there was a little scuffle, and the tiny old female cat (Maya) claimed it, and it has become hers.
So AlphV (aka BlackCat) is trying something different again. This time, it seems they are claiming a victim before they have even attempted to contact the victim or extort them. They post no proof of claims. They state that they are taking this approach because the victim's cyberinsurance policy does not cover extortion, and their research into the victim (Tipalti) and one of the victim's clients (Roblox) suggests that their usual approach will not work. They intend to try to extort those firms and Twitch, all individually.
They even cite an academic reference on the potential benefit of paying ransom.
This listing is not the nasty approach that we've seen in some other listings on that leak site. But we'll see what happens if or when the victims don't respond.
I've sent an inquiry to Tipalti who is probably already swamped and running around trying to figure out what happened. AlphV claims to have been in multiple systems of theirs since September 8. Whether that's true or not remains to be seen.
Normally, my old girl, Maya, will tolerate being on her back briefly, in my lap. 5 minutes tops . She's so happy and relaxed that I got trapped.
Hard to believe she is still with us. She's frail, crippled, thin, unable to squat so she stands in the litter box and poops outside. Or randomly where she is, if the other cats are in the way.
I don't wish her gone, it saddens me to think of the day, but she keeps hanging on .

Maya (kennel cat) is old, crippled up, and can't even bath herself anymore. She tried to climb kennel wall and fell in her own poop.
I've a bathtub shower wand, and just discovered a week ago, that she loves it! Doesn't need to be held, with 4 paws on the tub floor.
Here we are drying in the twilight hour before dawn..
