Okay, now, full disclaimer. I, for some reason, thought I didn't need to bring my camera to the cabin. Why? Because I'm some sort of genius, I don't know. So let's say that the photoshoot with a phone was an adventure. Most photos came out silly so... Sigh... Let's go
Does anyone have any advice at #dogsofmastodon for helping my traumatised dog enjoy his walks more? Two years ago he was attacked by two escaped off-lead Rottweilers when we were out walking. It was terrifying. Now he barks at any dog, any size or breed.
We have tried dog school to desensitise him. Vet gave him anxiety tabs. Vet told us to take him down streets where he's unlikely to meet other dogs (ugly places with no trees or happy smells). We just want him to enjoy being outdoors again.
2009 vs 2023: the day Cookie failed a 'show dog' review, and 14 years later when she is just so happy and comfy that she's never had to do anything other than cuddle and eat
Moxxi carried her chunk of snow all the way to the top!
It's very hard to tell how steep the climb was from the photos but picture a corgi effortlessly leaping from the ground to the top of the first 4 ft wall of snow, then a second! I gasped audibly, I thought I'd have to catch her dumb ass mid superman.
Can’t believe my 14 year old dog walked 8.24 miles / 13 kilometers today. Pic of her just before she falls asleep for the next 20 hours. Cookie is such a champ! (She’s completely deaf, so she will sleep through the fireworks, thankfully)
#MrMaxi loves the fish our neighbour catches for him. I cannot get a good pic though as when I get too close he thinks I’m trying to steal his fish and runs away. (For the record I have never stolen his food.)
Awww Moxxi started hanging around the Christmas tree. I thought it was weird because she doesn't typically spend time in that area.
Now, I'm thinking it's because she thinks the tree is pretty... look what happened after I moved her dog bed close to it 🥺 ashamed it took me that long to figure it out
