Today's #EpicFail on Windows (I technically had this coming): Went to check on some feedback I posted awhile ago, but the other day, because I'm on Education edition I can (supposedly) turn off all the data collection, and I believe it, because I went and clicked Feedback, and it threw up an error to change my diagnostics setting to at least basic, but I'm not going to do that right now. But sure, they had to spam my screen reader with "navigating" announcements, lag out the whole interface, and made it so only Narrator would read the error when I manually navigated around the screen. Whoops. So now, it's how much do I really want to take time to go and turn the data collection back on in Group Policy temporarily? Ehh, I think I care more about my privacy, I can spin up another machine. And the even more crazy thing is it didn't click until after I went to the Store to update the app, when I wouldn't have even had to do that!
Their high-profile event on #Twitter Spaces, where #DeSantis had just announced his run for #president, had been plagued by technical glitches. The first audio livestream cut out before DeSantis could get his news out. The second one fared little better, drawing roughly 700,000 listeners at its peak. For context, #FoxNews claimed it drew 7.7 million viewers for #Trump’s Tulsa rally in 2020. #GOP#ElonMusk#RonDeSantis#EpicFail

When you try to turn the plain south so you can give yourself enough room to take off, but you wind up infinitely spinning round in circles. You try to slow down, brake, and even power the aircraft down completely, but your attempts to regain control of your tiny one-seater ultimately prove useless. #EuroFly3#EpicFail
Me and a friend both received a survey from a blindness-centric organization about the accessibility of technology, with gems like the following in it: : heading level 2 heading level 1 Please select the font size you would like to take this survey in. clickable <span style="font-size: 18px;">Font Size 18 Pixels</span> clickable Font Size 18 Pixels clickable Font Size 20 Pixel clickable Font Size 22 Pixel clickable Font Size 24 Pixel clickable Font Size 26 Pixel clickable Font Size 28 Pixel clickable Not applicable button Previous button Next. I assume the span denotes what you selected, but when clicking on any of them, it disappears, and I have no indication of what I selected. In addition, the edit fields, don't even show as edit fields, alongside many other issues. I spent a few minutes in the dev console looking around and it looks like a Greasemonkey script may be one of the only ways to salvage it. This, from a company that actively employs blind people. #EpicFail
Oh dear, someone send help. I was looking at the time, and thinking that I have like 20 minutes before work starts. Hey dumbass, it's saturday, so no work today. #EpicFail
I forgot my username. Clicks forgot your username link and gets redirected to a support page You need to log in to contact support. If I've forgotten my username to log in, how the hell do you expect me to log in to contact support and request my username? #fail#EpicFail#LogicError
MS Teams is not software, it's a modern tool for torture. And it is getting worse by the hour.
Ok, the desktop things don't work at all, fine. I don't see the files in the Windows desktop app. Ok, back to browser. 5min ago it would work in firefox. 5min later I get a blocking screen wanting me to force to use some chromium derivat (they suggest chrome or edge, but they don't detect @Vivaldi 😎 )
Then there is some network-glitch and the word file I was editing is corrupt.
I looked up Adobe Voice Enhancer on DuckDuckGo, and clicking on the first result gave me this. Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site.
We can’t connect to the server at www.podcast.adobe.com.
If you entered the right address, you can:
• Try again later
• Check your network connection
• Check that Firefox has permission to access the web (you might be connected but behind a firewall)
Try Again. #EpicFail. Remove www, and it works, because that's like. How this is supposed to work.
Was looking at Process Explorer (Procexp) in the Sysinternals suite, because it looks like it'll help me do something I've actually wanted to do for a few months, view the command line params passed to an executable that launches and exits quickly. Aaaaand... it's not accessible. I absolutely love being blind. It never, ever cockblocks me, ever.
Saw a video of certain celeb, going to do a show at Japan, so made a video to greet Japanese fans and below appears the subtitles... in Korean.
What a bad slip... #celebrity#epicfail
