Just in case anyone thought these companies were ran by decent people. These are horrible corporations, and everything they do needs to be looked upon with suspicion.

Today, we’re stepping away from the current sequence on MG with the most dramatic Jaguar ever made, the XJ220 - although there is an interesting MG connection. This is the XJ220 prototype which had 4WD and a Jag V12 engine. The production version instead got rear-wheel drive and a development of the V6 engine used in yesterday’s MG Metro 6R4. Those fancy scissor doors were dropped for production too. Snapped at the British Motor Museum at Gaydon.
Mostly a rumor for now, but it's increasingly likely that Jaguar is going to shut down pretty soon. The "switch" to an all-BEV lineup is just an excuse to end up being some kind of Chinese owned brand.
Is this an anomalous one-off, or just the beginning? San Franciscans have had enough with Waymo.

Every jaguar has a unique pattern of rosettes — those signature spots — so we can identify individuals,
Today, a Jaguar that’s not quite what it seems. Meet the E-Type Zero, which has an electric motor and 40kWh battery pack in place of the usual XK straight six. This was an official factory project and it was intended to sell conversions and fully-built Zeros commercially but the programme was subsequently cancelled. A huge effort went into preserving the weight distribution and balance of the ICE-powered original. Snapped at #TechnoClassica in 2019. #Jaguar#EV#WeirdCarMastodon#davidsdailycar
For a third day we’re looking at the subject of visual devices used by car designers to manage an awkward rear side window to rear pillar transition. The Jaguar XJ-S had very wide distinctive ‘flying buttress’ rear pillars, and black plastic panels were applied in order ‘slim’ these visually (left). On later models (right), the rear side window glazing was extended over the leading edge of the rear pillar instead. Pics: NEC #ClassicMotorShow yesterday. #Jaguar#WeirdCarMastodon#davidsdailycar
