I put up with open source communities, in the hope that one day they will become better, just as they are constrained to put up with me in the hope that I will become better.
@geerlingguy most in-person events are amazing. Most actual developers are amazing. I think there's just a minority shouting loudly in the comments section and on Reddit, but I wouldn't really call them an "open source community".
who do I know that knows postmarketos people? I'd really like to see a libre phone track or talks ether at #fossy or #linuxappsummit - maybe invite some sugar labs people talk about grid networks etc.
What would be really really really cool is if we gave out recycled phones as comms running free software and interacted via that in a social kind of way.
Be part of Linux App Summit 2024! We are already looking for the location of our next event. What about near you? Send in your proposal and let's get things rolling! https://linuxappsummit.org/cfl/
@danirabbit I’m still travelling on my deadnames passport that was issued when I looked very different. It gets hard though. Like the border folks in prague a couple of weeks ago, when I was travelling to the #LinuxAppSummit#LAS2023 for #Ubuntu, belly laughed in my face because of it.
