It's been a while since we gave an update on the integration, so here's an update post (and instructions on how to get involved).

@Linux @sailfishosnews Just what Linux mobile needs...subscription bullshit. Sorry, but sticking with . I wish these companies would just make good hardware and properly integrate said hardware into the mainline kernel and surrounding ecosystem (mesa, freedesktop, ALSA UCM, libcamera/megapixels, etc) rather than just trying to be yet another segregated mobile ecosystem. Let the existing software projects handle the user experience.

#postmarketOS just landed the last MR needed to make the #libcamera + #PipeWire camera stack work on the #Librem5 and #PinePhone by default, using the new software ISP shipped in libcamera 0.3.
So if you have such a device: just update and go install apps like Snapshot, Warp, Decoder etc. You can even use it with Firefox and - very soon - Chromium.

Note that this does not replace #megapixels or #millipixels - those continue to be the default camera apps.

If you are a Gnome-Mobile user and you want to get rid of the close button on your title bars, just copy this in your terminal and hit enter:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout 'appmenu'

And to revert back:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout 'appmenu:close'

Window without close button on title bar.

Struggled to install on my OnePlus6, I think due to an android-tools issue. Then - to my delight - found that the installer had it as one of the options and it worked perfectly.

I was able to make Visual Voicemail work on my phone (OnePlus 6 running ) with Iliad Italian operator.
I had to guess the config phone number, I used one that was sending me an SMS on new voicemail and it worked! (VVM was previously enabled on an iPhone)
@kop316 did a wonderful job with vvmplayer! it's well documented and was relatively easy to gather the missing pieces.
Bonus: After this MR gets merged, VVM will work out of the box on Iliad https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mobile-broadband-provider-info/-/merge_requests/112

I just posted a short tutorial on setting up a simple on your running . The LLM (7b alpaca in this case) is not terribly accurate but possibly useful in some cases.

Warning! You phone will get hot. I haven't tested it long enough to know if it will harm your device, but do be careful.

Oh! I have a website now! Wow! My history with websites is hit and miss, so enjoy it while it lasts. I have half a dozen posts in the works already.
