Good morning folks!

Took one toot and I am in full mode again, blasting their partly very heavy third album

My favourites:

Brighton Rock 👉 https://song.link/at/i/1440854185

Killer Queen (obviously)
Flick Of The Wrist
Now I'm Here
Stone Cold Crazy

If you are not a Queen fan, just let me know and I bet that I'll have a song for you you might like 😜

Darn, new ($$ experiment with a varrhoa resistant Italian queen) and small amount of bees absconded... Couldn't hold off the -- another -- no idea where they went, either, so can't try to gather them up.

Queen fans, what do you think of this remix of the Flash theme?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gT2NLnKZaps

Comments from lots of people who love it, but I think it's dreadful!

So, Dolly Parton recently dropped a cover of Queen's "We are the Champions / We Will Rock You' and no one told me?

For shame.

Apropos of nothing*, in your opinion, what's an underrated Song?

My submission is Scandal, from their much-maligned 13th studio album, The Miracle: https://youtu.be/VMO3YNoNyTY

It's not the best album, by a long way, and it definitely introduces a different sound to the band (partly due to having dispensed once and for all with the "no synths" rule) but I've never thought it's as bad as many hardcore fans make out.

*other than, perhaps, an (off-platform) assertion that you can't post about anything other than your instance's primary theme on Mastodon

Hi my posse! I'm doing a 3-song set at an open mic tomorrow, and I'm going to sing Somebody to Love, and 'That Ole Devil Called Love' as my token non-Queen song. What other Queen song should I sing?

I usually do Melancholy Blues, but it might be too similar in vibe to Ole Devil, so looking for an alternative. I'd love your opinions, deep cuts included!

After a hard days work, finally some time to rest in my hammock and thinking about my contribution this week for @SimoRavens19 prompt: a song from an artist's first and one from their last album.

I am going with this week:

👶 My Fairy King (Queen)

👼 Heaven For Everyone (Made In Heaven)

What an evolution Queen had, from very heavy and almost proggy beginnings to mainstream stadium rock.

Runestones from #Denmark praising a #Viking #queen hint at her power | Both Jelling runestones also named a royal figure: Queen Thyra, mother of then-reigning #King Harald Bluetooth. 🤔 #Geni claims that Harald Bluetooth was my 31st grandfather. I should check the sources step by step. True of false it's fascinating to study this. #vikings #familyhistory #suomimastodon #finland #roots

"On a fair day in 1838, barely two years into Queen Victoria’s reign [...] a young, confident and handsome Mississauga Ojibway chief named Kahkewaquonaby [...] came knocking at the doors of Windsor Castle dressed in his finest leather from head to toe and asked to make an appeal to his Sovereign. The door was opened and tea and sympathy were offered. [...] The Queen promised to look into the request and in due course the deeds were handed over."
