Just realized that Spotlight is not something you can invoke through Shortcuts or even the new action button. I really hope they add this as an option as I can definitely see myself using the action button to either give me a menu of Shortcuts, one of those being Spotlight, or just using it to invoke spotlight, directly. #iPhone15#ActionButton#Shortcuts#iOS17#Spotlight
#TodayILearned that #macOS#Spotlight will not index #iCloud Drive documents unless they are fully downloaded—unless you are searching for keywords stored in their extended attributes.
This is a surprisingly big oversight. The more you use #iCloudDrive to store your documents (which Apple somewhat encourages you to do), the more likely you won’t be able to find them by searching for their content with Spotlight.

Maybe as be part of #Shortcuts / #AppIntents without even (much) extra work to be done by devs? Essentially “just” expose intents in Spotlight with a more interactive UI, allowing to directly type in parameters (Raycast-style) and other kinds of rich interactions without leaving #Spotlight? 🤔
