These styles of games are not an interest of mine, but I thought it would be nice to share this for the cozy game lovers out there. Enjoy relaxing the The Shire, folks!
You all seemed to enjoy the last bit of #Tolkien trivia I shared. Here's something else I just learnt: Queen Margrethe II of Denmark produced fan art for both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings! (Apparently the original illustrations were done around 1977; they were "re-drawn" by Eric Fraser in about 2002.)
Ultimately, whether he intended the Silmarillion to function as a national epic for England, Britain, the Anglosphere, or the entire world does not really matter all that much. What matters is that he succeeded.

It's unusual here, for so many popular topics & titles to be in one box. I must've once prioritized these, promptly been swamped, & forgotten them... 'til now!
"My armour is like tenfold shields, my teeth are swords, my claws spears, the shock of my tail is a thunderbolt, my wings a hurricane, and my breath death!"
(#Smaug from #TheHobbit)

Yes, the fact of #billionaires is fascinating. It's also evil. They are like #dragons on their piles of hoarded gold, with bones lying all around.
The extended cut of The Hobbit really closes some gaps compared with the cinematic version (not compared with the book). Some stuff made more sense and there were some really cool scenes added, especially dwarven warfare.
But the stupidest thing is still in there with no explanation: The Elves jumping over the shield and spear lines of the dwarves into the charging orcs.
Drives me almost as mad as certain Game of Thrones battles we shall not mention.
Today, September 22, Bilbo Baggins of Bag End and his younger cousin Frodo celebrate their shared birthday—Frodo’s 33rd, and Bilbo’s “eleventy-first” (The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, 2001)
At the beginning of The Hobbit, the dwarfs are trying to decide what to take for several hours and then repacking because it doesn’t fit right. And then someone keeps having to go to the bathroom right when everyone else is ready to leave.
