Can anyone on here recommend a good video editor for use with an iPhone 13 Pro? Ideally one without mandatory registration or subscription fees?

Please boost for greater reach! TIA!

Just a reminder that while we are up to 3 CVEs for the #Cisco #ArcaneDoor attack, we still don't know what the initial access to these devices was.

If I were a very strategic purchaser, I'd be thinking about what it would look like to replace any Cisco gear on my perimeter. Just in case.

losses from its namesake operations over the past few years accumulate to the debt of a small nation state.

Their vision is to not only mentally and socially lock us in to their platforms, but extend that to some kind of physical wall, a real walled garden.

(Given that, Metas definition of "open" is probably the opposite of mine…)

Everyone knew that HashiCorp's odd licensing moves were designed to make it more attractive to buyers. What we didn't know was that IBM would be the buyer.

@AAKL @jon @Vivaldi Side note you can load filters lists for the adblocker. I have a lot of the adguard ones in and it blocks about as well.

@AAKL @jon @Vivaldi Personally over the last few years Firefox has had more issues with some of the sites my work uses. Edge, Chrome worked fine but….it’s edge and Chrome.

Vivaldi works great on those sites as well and is pretty customizable too. Highly recommend it. I have it on everything from My StreamDeck to ChimaroOS to Mac to Windows to my iPhone.

It's great that you want to give it a try.

Perhaps you would like to tell us here how you like Vivaldi.

Because 'Vivaldi' is simply the better one.
In my opinion.
😃 ;-)

ppb1701,
@ppb1701@ppb.social avatar

@AAKL @jon @Vivaldi Don’t know exactly. I have an extension that is supposed to help with fingerprinting. The other I’m not totally sure, I know I turn off send blah blah to blah blah on almost everything. But it may still have some baked in stuff.

johnglass,
@johnglass@ohai.social avatar

@AAKL @jon @Vivaldi I have a 3 year old mid level Android with 90 tabs open in Vivaldi and its running super fast, zero crashes and almost everything renders perfectly. It is weird how well it works plus you can give the ceo and devs hell here on Mastodon and they will listen. Dope company.

jon,
@jon@vivaldi.net avatar

@AAKL @ppb1701 @Vivaldi

Probably are other browsers that are better than us on handling fingerprinting.

On the other hand we do not collect usage data at all, unlike most everyone else. We do count our users and some want to call that telemetry, but it is not. We just count our users.

ingolftopf,
@ingolftopf@vivaldi.net avatar

@johnglass @AAKL @jon @Vivaldi
Maybe it will work here without "giving them hell". 😃 ;-)

:tony_laughing:

tizian,

@johnglass @AAKL @jon @Vivaldi I'm sorry, but 90 tabs?? That's borderline psychotic... :BlobhajSadReach: :BlobhajShock:

    @AAKL Ha! I don’t even give Apple my biometrics

    505fred,
    @505fred@mastodon.social avatar

    @AAKL I don't think meta would gain access to raw information but rather something through the iPhone API telling the app that it has confirmed your information. At least, that's how I hope this works.

    ilyess,
    @ilyess@mastodon.online avatar

    @AAKL I don’t think that’s how passkeys work. Biometrics here are used by iOS to unlock the passkeys “vault” the same way they’re used to unlock the password manager vault during traditional login. The credentials (username/password, or passkey) are then passed on to the app/website for login.

    🚨 patch your Cisco AnyConnect boxes 🚨

    For a 2020 vulnerability. Really.

    Lots of ransomware cases coming in for Cisco AnyConnect/ASA recently and find finally we know how - CVE-2020-3259

    It was a vuln which allowed a CitrixBleed style memory dump, found by a Russian research org now under US sanctions. Ransomware operators have an exploit.

    Sadly it looks like many orgs never patched.

    @GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social avatar

    In light of recent events, probably best to make this ASA vuln public in public interest: https://github.com/GossiTheDog/Exploits/blob/main/Cisco-CVE-2020-3259.sh

    If you get <argument> back with toke inside, not vuln. If you get a memory dump back, you vuln. The dump is pretty bad as it contains a bunch of stuff.

    The path exists even with webvpn disabled, it's the host checker.

    Credits to person who found it, don't know if they want to be named. Edit: it’s @Naproxen

    Akira and others have been living off this for a while.
