We should start announcing KEV additions like award show nominees:

It is our displeasure to announce the latest addition to the coveted CISA KEV list - VMware! With this addition, VMware has secured its 19th spot on the list, and it's the first one for the year 2024. Let's not forget, VMware made its debut on the KEV list in November 2021 with a whopping 8 additions.

@Walker CVE-2023-34048 was added to CISA's KEV Catalog today 22 January 2024. This is based on Mandiant's assessment that the Chinese state-sponsored threat actor UNC3886 exploited this vulnerability as a zero-day since at least late 2021.

This is the kind of thing I don't think we explicate clearly in the attack pipeline. Once an organization is targeted, it makes the targeting of individuals so much easier.

Microsoft has revealed some of their corporate email accounts had been breached. The attack is believed to be state-sponsored. The attackers were able to breach Microsoft using a password spray attack on a non-production test tenant account. They then pivoted to the corporate email accounts of Microsoft's leadership and employees in cybersecurity and legal teams. Security experts believe this is a case of poorly secured configuration.

@joeyjr @AAKL well, FF has kinda strict privacy settings by default, including trackers blocking.

But that most likely doesn't block fingerprint analysis and other kind of stuff i'm probably not even aware of.

Maybe we should think of a plugin sending random/gibberish browser-related data to try and fool fingerprinting solutions? 😬

Mastodon is built differently. Just like the birdsite, you won't see every toot in existence but the 'why' is different. On birdsite, an decided. Here, it's your connections that truly, organically determine what you see.

It works because it gives you control over who you interact with, and the people you interact with shape the timelines of you and all your neighbors.
