A man who had a sexual encounter with a 15-year-old girl he met on successfully appealed to shorten release conditions barring him from online dating.

The three appeal court judges who heard the case did not accept Howitt’s argument that the release conditions should be scrapped, but instead “calibrated to restrict his opportunities to have contact with children in similar circumstances.”

@gsuberland I was lucky enough to catch some aurorae in 2019 during a trip to Canada. It wasn’t as spectacular as what you got to see, though. I’m at 44° N. Further south than I’d like to be, but with the geomagnetic storm ramping up to a G5, I’m still holding out hope. I’m still north of the view line last time I checked.

It turns out the caterpillar he dragged in belongs to a codling moth. Not exactly something that’s welcome in the fruit trees in our backyard! I think Loki deserves a treat for making me aware of the problem 🐶

I have quite the treat for the bloomscrollers on tonight: an entire field of tulips! I visited this tulip farm yesterday with a friend after taking a scenic route I knew well. It was a route my grandma loved driving on and would sometimes take me with her when I was a child. Yesterday’s journey and destination were equally beautiful.

  • Strong people skills
  • Good culture fit
  • Multitasking
  • A fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Bachelor's degree or better

I see these things and think you don't want my >30 years of programming and machine learning experience, or my problem-solving skills and comprehensive knowledge that had people mistaking me for one of the team's PhDs, or my solutions that have proven patent-worthy. Your loss.

@themarkup I have practically stopped leaving comments on Instagram altogether because of the automated moderation. Every time there’s a false positive and my comment gets deleted, it actually causes a PTSD trigger. It’s exhausting.

I’m so tired of these spambots infecting my mentions. I had to clean up so much this morning. They’re now just circumventing filters by not adding any filterable text, and circumventing domain blocks by coming from a different instance each time.

Is there a population shortage on Earth that I am unaware of?

Judging the childless as 'less worthy ' than those who have children is really saying a childless person has no place in society. It implies that human beings exist solely to procreate. People don't have kids for all kinds of reasons, none of which are anyone's business.

I leave you with this. Trump is a parent. Does that make him inherently more valuable to society than me, regardless of the kind of person he is?
