@Brandi_Buchman My old Asics were my favorite shoes for a long time, but for the past several months I've been wearing Xero brand barefoot shoes and I really like them. I have 2 different pairs now and am getting ready to buy some hiking boots from them.

    @RickiTarr I would echo others comments on Clapton. Such a disappointment that he built his career on Black people's music and then to turn around and make racist comments. What an ass.

    When Gregory Yetman was interviewed by USA Today this March, he said the FBI had interviewed him in 2021. He told the press it was all good and that "everything's been resolved."

    I have been keeping a journal since my mom died that is just for grief. It's been two years and I read back through the earlier entries, the ones I could stomach, and I see my pain in the deepest part of myself is still very much the same today. I know in time it gets easier to process but rereading that helped me realize I am being way too hard on myself with expectations of normalcy or an ease in my depression. And then I remembered my dad died too. And I realized...

    @Brandi_Buchman grief is a difficult but necessary part of life. It's also different for everyone. I lost my mom 9 years ago. I'm coming up on the anniversary of her death. My stepdad died less than 2 years later. The a couple of years after that we lost my wife's mom and then her dad. Not saying this to compare, it's not a competition obviously. Just trying to show that you are not alone even if it feels like it. It's part of the normal human experience.

    YouTube really wants to radicalize you.

    I just watch guitar, fitness and space science videos there. That's it - and I police my feed and watch history judiciously.

    And it still suggests Jordan Peterson, Crypto Tech bros, Joe Rogan, white guys ranting in trucks about immigrants and communists, Koch funded professors, and weird white supremacy guys with caliper mindsets non-stop. I click "Do Not Recommend This Channel" twenty times a day but the stream keeps flowing.
