@jeffjarvis this sounds horrible, it doesn't even read the news just people (and bots) commentary on Twitter? That's not "truth seeking" at all, what is Elon smoking?
@QasimRashid ActBlue really needs an option to just donate and not be added to any lists. I'm tempted to donate, but then I get added to a list where I get peppered with e-mails and SMS messages from your campaign and others they've shared information with.
@QasimRashid As a heads up to others, you can use your banks bill-pay. They just required a phone number, I used the DNC number since I couldn't find one on your website.
@jeffjarvis Is there any way to encourage Washington Post and others from normalizing Trump by hosting opinions like these? Do they not get what they're doing or do they do it solely for clicks?
@jeffjarvis I wish my library would link up to my nytimes account, the 3-day pass is nice but sometimes takes a while to log into two different websites to read an article.

How did you all pick your #Mastodon instance? Was there any particular reasoning behind it?
For me I was looking for two things.
A regional instance in hopes that I could find more local connections and maybe help shape the community if I felt like being more involved.
I'm not here because I think Mastodon is better than other options. I don't think it is (yet). I like its potential so my decision to make this my main social media home is about tomorrow, not today.
I wanted an instance whose first letters could be typed with my left hand only.
I do most of my social media when I'm waiting for something I'm working on to load and if I'm able to swap between tasks using just my left hand, I can peek and get back to work quickly.
