It's Thursday so here's a throwback to my interpretation of Klimt's 'Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I' along with some process pics.

I loved how this one turned out - one of my favourite Clay Disarray pieces for sure! ✨

Last Band issue 2, page 1. The same man from the cover illustration is wandering through a deserted back alley in a residential area. He observes his surroundings as the landscape begins to warp and shift, looking concerned that someone or something is following him. Sure enough, in the last panel, we see him from behind as several tentacles (or vines?) reach out towards him.
Last Band issue 2, page 12. Two other characters, also 20-something, a man (Rick) and a woman (Nat), having a conversation in a record store. Nat: "I...definitely remember the internet being faster than this. And with more content." Rick: "Yep." Nat: "There's nowhere I can stream videos, even." Rick: "Well, even if there were, it's too slow for that." Nat: "And I don't remember Usenet being much of a thing, past the year 2001. Yet here it is, somehow. There's even an alt.fan.beyonce." Rick: "Oh, you think that's weird? Ever looked at Google Maps?" Nat: "No, why?" (Nat pulls up Google Maps on the computer and it looks more like Mapquest circa 2002) Nat: "Oh wow...Yeah, that's some sweet early 2000s era web design." Rick: "I know, right? Now watch what happens when you try to get directions anywhere from here."

It's Thursday so here's a throwback to a really old poster for Utopia. It's always interesting to look back at old work to see how far you've progressed as an artist.

Absolutely loved this series (the original British version ofc) and talk about life imitating art! I reckon it's due a rewatch soon to remind myself of its parallels with the pandemic and all the mad conspiracy theories that inevitably followed 💛

I've become a contributor on KoFi so I've now been able to personalise my page with a teal button (a colour I've ALWAYS been obsessed with) and tips are now clay blocks instead of cups of coffee (though I love both tbf)

Look Straight Ahead, a graphic novel by OP, Elaine M. Will. The cover depicts a young man trapped inside a giant orange pill bottle. Outside the bottle are several papers and art materials strewn about on the ground.
How To Draw Guitars, an instructional comic by OP, Elaine M Will. The cover depicts a simplified cartoon drawing of a guitar surrounded by lightning bolts, an emoji face wearing sunglasses with a spiked punk rock hairdo and sticking its tongue out, and an emoji of the "devil horns" hand with a spiked bracelet. The title is in the classic ransom-note style lettering of letters cut from magazines, except they are drawn by hand.
