I don't think I ever said so in this virtual place, but before we decided to move to France, Canada was our prime choice. We both have native level English and French and I even have a column in a Canada-based publication, but for us it was nyet.
Need to say though that France has been nothing less than wonderful for us.

Ergens in Rusland zit een team om een tafel om de volgende acties te plannen om het politieke klimaat in Europa verder te polariseren, groepen tegen elkaar op te zetten, gevoel van onrust te vergroten. Geld is geen probleem, ook genoeg politici in Europa die zonder betaling willen helpen. Alle middelen kunnen worden ingezet, van desinformatie tot bomaanslagen, steunen van terroristische groepen etc.

Zo. Dat was nogal lekker. Als voorgerecht nam ik gravlax met mousse van rode biet. @Greetschrijver koos het gefrituurde ei met spinazie en bloemkoolcrème. Als hoofdgerecht had ik de kalfskotelet met sauce vierge en millefeuille van aardappel. Mevrouw Eetschrijver koos de curry van kikkererwten.
