@quixoticgeek It isn’t the ‘fast’ charging that destroys the battery, but you could try to go from USB-C to USB-A to USB-C, then you are again at plain old 5W power..
@quixoticgeek I believe so, I would still add the data blocker in between in case of anything smart happens in between (because of the cable or one of the connected devices)
Yesterday my gf and I went to the wedding of her cousin who just a little younger than us, end 20-ish
And the guy marrying (who shares the same name with me😆) told me that they tried to get as much second hand, free and recycled goods for the wedding like chairs, glasses etc
And the overall vibe was so cozy! All with "custom" items basically for almost no money!
He said that hiring glasses would costs 40 cents per glass and buying them second hand 20 cents. And they even can return them 💪 ♻️
@nemobis@janrosenow Also, those are percentages. I'm afraid there isn't that much decline when looking at actual produced power by these sources. Since we all know global power demand raises every year.
@Crell “An IDE can provide auto-completion for the properties you've defined.” @phpstorm can do that for the returned array as well if you put it in phpdocs.
Friendly reminder to Non-Belgians that if you plan to visit #FOSDEM or #cfgmgmtcamp by non-electric car, you need to register it beforehand to enter the low emission zones (LEZ) of either Antwerpen, Brussels or Gent unless your car is registered in the Netherlands in which case exceptions may apply. Registrations are individual to each LEZ.
@codinghorror I’m not using one because of the design since the 4S. But now I’m thinking of having one just because these lenses on the back stick out so much on the 15. (Lot of difference compared to my previous 8)
Day 2 of the 2023 #30DayMapChallenge is “lines" and I got it into my head to draw paths to the closest Ookla Speedtest servers from where you were viewing the vis from.
However, the restrictive CORS setting on that API endpoint meant I had to seriously overcomplicate my solution by, um, building the vis into a self-contained #Golang binary that fires up a local web server to make what I wanted done possible.
@hrbrmstr Then, it was only amsterdam, but now there's some BE,NL and FR as expected. At the same time the speedtest on the website and app did give a reasonable server..
Bah! For the last couple of days my personal blog has been getting absolutely hammered by someone having deep-linked to an image (a gif) from https://rssing.com
I made the file 403, but it it's still hammering the site constantly for 3 days.
My server serves about 1Mb/s normally, with this it's nearer 55Mb/s.
It's crazy this 64-core @AmpereComputing dev board from Adlink doesn't even require the fan to spin during an Ubuntu install. It's like a Raspberry Pi on massive steroids.
Guessing I can get it to spin doing an HPL benchmark!
