@StillIRise1963 intergenerational sharing does seem to get talked about a lot, but I've not seen anything suggesting any government's stepped up. As the U.S. population is trending older, the development of such a program may be inevitable. Not just for sharing, but for caregiving.

@StillIRise1963 I'm not a church-goer, but get the impression some churches do encourage it, though that's hardly enough & even then it's probably more the "do some good by spending time with an old person who can't do much, lives alone, etc." It could also be "hey kid, I want you to go and give the neighbor a hand." I'd be one that would love being on the receiving end of that. I know it happens, but not nearly enough. Pretty sure I could teach them a few things as we worked.
