You fill a battery when you fully charge it, right? (Note that "fill" and "full" are cognates!)

It costs me over $90 to fill my car's tank with petrol. If I could "fill" it for $5, I would be extremely pleased.

As we approach there's going to be even more talk about the especially in relation to what might be 'acceptable' ¬Bour Party policy....

so for the uninitiated here is a slide from the Open Innovation Team Policy School that clearly sets out what the Overton Window actually refers to.

They thing to be clear about is that the central area - popular/policy/popular is not fixed and recently (the argument goes) has been moving to the right!

As an example of shifting the window to the left:

=advocate for a wealth tax of 1.5% on wealth over 10 million. Accept the compromise of 1%

= advocate a top tax rate of 55% over £200,000 (A$400,000) Accept the compromise of £250,000 (A$500,000)

And so on.

Don't advocate for a little. Go for a lot, and scale back, so you get what you want. That's what the Right does.
