@StillIRise1963 Which supports the weapons that are supplied by US suppliers because the US government approved it.

Without US arms, the Iron Dome doesn't exist. Without US support Iran would have flattened a lot of Israel with their 300+ drones and missles.

The US has a lot of sway, we need to use it and stop the genocide.

I've never seen a serious company make such a grievous mistake in an app "upgrade" as Garmin did with this one.

It's not that we're so different from other girls, or boys for that matter. We've had our brains so infiltrated by gender stereotypes and ideals from such a young age, that by the time we get old enough to realize we are unique humans with our own distinctive character, we feel like we need to shout this from the rooftops. Every person is unique, no matter the gender, some just get more of a chance to exercise the right of individualism than others.

@mbonsma Try buying a car that will fit into the average size garage. It's gotten completely ridiculous. We bought a small SUV (tall short car actually) just so it would fit in the garage with room.

Why is it that the people who brag about being "self-made" aren't?

If you turned out successful odds are you had help, a lot of it, and a good amount of luck on top of that. Imagine being so self absorbed that you don't give credit where credit is due.

@RickiTarr In our society in the Western world, no one is self-made or independent. Anyone with a lot of money has it because they got it from many people. Perhaps legitimately, perhaps through less legit ways. Nonetheless, that money didn't just happen. It's the same with independence. We all rely on others for goods, services, food, roads, materials, whatever, but we aren't smelting ore, making implements from raw iron, and farming and hunting with those things. Get real!

Well that's a bad question if the answer given isn't considered correct, because it is 10 past 11 on a small clock. If I drew an analogue clock and the angle to the 2 wasn't exactly 60 degrees, would I be wrong? And would the hour hand have had to move 1/6 the way between the 11 and 12 for it to be correct?

I have more questions than answers for this teacher.

A few brave Singaporeans unfurled this banner in front of the iconic Marina Bay Sands, in a country where any public protest is illegal without prior approval and approved protests are only allowed at one park (and the authorities already said all registered protest applications relating to Gaza will be denied)

If they were foreigners they would almost certainly be deported. As citizens they’ll definitely see some legal action

@skinnylatte Every time I see something like this outside the US, I realize how much we stand to lose with another trump election. All the things I grew up with and saw being refined and improved will all vanish in a heartbeat.

So many people don't realize how bad it can get. Arrested for a smiley face is an example.
