What is your dream road trip? Where would you start? Where would you end up? What stops would you make along the way? It can be short or long, whatever interests you!
I can tell when I need to lower the volume of something I'm listening to when I feel a kind of tightening in my ear muscles, and/or ringing in my ears, or a slight feeling of stress coming in from my environment.
I also just try to remember to always proactively lower the volume a couple ticks from what i first set it at, to prevent all those sensations.
What are the signs for you that things are a little too loud?
@dave@dyani@actuallyautistic I have a friend who used to do long distance driving for a living (amongst other things were transplant organs and other time criticals) and he had 3 playlists set up on his music device (ipod I think) one was catchy tunes for motorways and to stay awake, one was softer to stay alert and one was very soft to blanket out other distractions for when he really needed to concentrate.
Just a bunch of plutocrats utilising their free-speech rights..

so, #shadowrun today: this time more or less successful, although I was happy they needed to cut it shorter than planned in the end. I had calculated with them planning how to do their road trip though the council, only for them to start immediately.
Unlike what I thought might happen they did not try to open the black box with the macguffin immediately. which is nice. ]

In Atlas Alone (2019), the fourth story centres on an elite gamer & their attempt to uncover & then take revenge for a crime against humanity. To say much more would ruin the plot for you, but as with the others, this is great, fascinating sci-fi, which has a great payoff at the end.
