Powerful. Personal. Private. It’s a web browser. But fun. It comes with a bunch of clever features built in. It’s super flexible and does not track you. Get the Vivaldi browser for desktop, mobile, and your car!

After some time using @Vivaldi I am very impressed with the functionality it offers, so many features and highly customizable with themes, addons and a lot more. I have switched to Vivaldi on all my devices.

I came across someone on Fediverse said he needs a GUI app for for newbies. I found at first which claims to be open source but it charges for binary with no free options.

It is totally okay for open source software to charge and I think they should, just as hard-line as RMS also encouraged so. However, digging deep into their license I found Cork totally prohibits distribution (w/ or wo/ modification) and providing self-compiled binary. 1/2

On other hand, I think @Vivaldi is a gd example of being not open source but willing to share source code, a very honest explanation:

📋ADHDers love curating Reading Lists to stay on track.

🫣Going back to them, though, is another story.

Have you tried giving yourself little rewards when you check off read items from the list? Because they totally count as mini victories! 🥳

It's true that neurodivergent minds are energized and motivated when they set and execute goals, gain achievements, communicate, create, strategize, innovate, or serve and connect with people.

But the constant whirlwind of killer ideas and endless possibilities, without the reigns of process, structure, and execution, can get debilitating.

🧰 To help you crush those distractions, we've curated a list of helpful tools available for you to use on our browser.

Building systems and leveraging productivity tools can set you up for success and manage your scattered thoughts.

Our built-in Reading List is one such example, read the blog for more👇

@Vivaldi The built in reading list is an amazing feature. Recently you've added the ability to share links directly to the reading list, which is a fantastic addition. I love being able to add a link from any app (usually my feed reader) on my phone easily to the reading list and just pick it up and read it next time I'm on my computer or tablet.

I'm Autistic and ADHD and vivaldi is literally irreplaceable to me

(Automatic) Tab groups, workspaces and page tilling are amazing

I'm required to use Firefox (or edge 🤮) at work and I can't stand it (I can't install add-ons), it quite literally puts itself in my way

@beardedtechguy Vivaldi has done a spectacular job just locking me into their browser. I use it for so much I don't even know where I'd begin with a different one. Another example is the Panel. As an admin of an instance, I spend a LOT of time here on Mastodon, and I'm constantly looking stuff up and taking notes. Something that I'm sure has been there forever and I never noticed is the ability to drag text from the active tab to a panel. Works AMAZINGLY for notes and translating.

I did a survey to check how many of you have used one of my browsers, Opera or Vivaldi, with Vivaldi being my current browser company and Opera being my old one.

A lot of you shared your story and that is much appreciated.

1061 did the survey.

61% had used both Opera and Vivaldi.
15% had used Opera
12% had used Vivaldi
11% had never used either.

Thank you all for joining in. I hope those of you that are not using Vivaldi, will give it a try.

Chances are you just might like it!

I forgot to post about this yesterday, though not surprising due to how extremely busy work has been with the Play Store release of Nova 8.

I applied for the Vivaldi Sopranos program and it looks like I've been accepted. I'll have some accounts setup on Monday for me so I'll be able to dive in head first and see what all is going on.

That means I'm now an Ambassador and a Soprano for @Vivaldi which is pretty exciting!

May the Fourth be with you (I bet I'm the first one in your timeline saying this!). As a @Vivaldi afficionado, I obviously need to play around with a theme today.
