Republicans and all of right wing media are quite adamant about the prospect of putting Trump, the presumptive GOP candidate for president, in jail for violating the gag order multiple times (as ANYONE else would have been long ago), loudly proclaiming that'd be election interference.

Funny...I don't recall any of them taking that position on Hillary Clinton in 2016 while Trump led his supporters in chanting, "LOCK HER UP!" at all of his rallies...and at the GOP convention.

You have to wonder if Blanche is REALLY hoping Trump will fire him. I'm sure he's been paid upfront, like all the legitimate lawyers who have taken on Trump as a client over the past year or two, so it's no skin off his nose.

Calling Trump a nightmare client is an insult to nightmares.

The reason Trump's legal fees have been so astronomical is because he has to pay lawyers millions of dollars up front now because of his well-earned reputation of stiffing his lawyers. Just ask Rudy Giuliani.

I want to hear what republican leaders, like Graham and McConnell, have to say in light of Trump's interview with Time magazine. Of course, they'll duck the question by saying, "I haven't read it", and walk away to an elevator as fast as they can, but they all need to be pressed on it constantly until they give an answer on how they can justify voting for Trump in light of this.

Oh, I know. In the past, they'd try to downplay it as "he was just joking" or "he doesn't really mean it, it's just hyperbole" on his more general campaign rants. This is different. This is quite specific on destroying democracy and becoming an autocrat. I want to hear what they have to say in justifying it.

Yes, I've heard them say that, then I'm screaming at the tv, "WHAT POLICIES?! The ones that have the economy thriving and unemployment at an all-time low, and the infrastructure bill that you voted against but take credit for the money coming in to your state?"

Reporters NEVER follow up with making be specific.

Everyone feared that there would Jan. 6 style riots if Trump was ever indicted, and when he finally was, there was nothing. That fear ebbed with each subsequent indictment, becoming a laughing stock that nothing ever happened, despite how much Trump begged his minions to take to the streets.
Now we have people fearing that if Trump is jailed for any reason, he'll use it for massive fund raising. I'm calling bullshit on that notion. Who's left to donate? That well is dry. There will be no riots.
