I have two thoughts on Trump's sleeping during the trial.

  1. Since he can't say anything or do any histrionics, he's doing it intentionally to show his disdain for the court and proceedings.

  2. Like a shark who has to keep swimming to breathe, Trump can only stay awake if he's talking (bloviating) in front of an audience.

Character assassination doesn't refute anything. In fact, this diversion tactic validates everything Cohen has said.

Imagine you're sitting on jury, watching Blanche obviously trying to get under Cohen's skin with questions solely meant to get under his skin, hoping to get Cohen to explode in anger, NEVER addressing anything that has to do with the case and the facts that have been presented against Trump. If I was on the jury, I'd resent the hell out of it, making Trump look even more guilty.

  3. Don't talk/post anything about the judge's family.

Everything else in the world you can talk about. Not a tough task for a rational human being. Of course, rational human beings don't get gag orders in the first place.

So we had this gaggle of lawmakers come to Trump's trial today to debase themselves and their office to do Trump's bidding in attacking Cohen, the judge and the jury on social media...and they expect everyone to believe they did this all on their own. Right. My question is, who paid for their travel, hotel, meals, etc.? Love to see an audit on that. Or, I wonder if they were stupid enough to believe Trump would reimburse them.

Cohen would have to be the biggest moron...next to Trump...on the planet to take the bait on what EVERYONE knows is coming. He's been heavily coached on this, so nothing should come as a surprise to him. Every lawyer preparing a client before testifying tells them to just keep the answers to "yes" or "no".

Later today, Trump will declare as PROOF that the court is biased against him because the courtroom drawings of Cohen are much better the ones of him.
