@asbestos We are forced to be with men which is why there are a lot more sexless and loveless marriages. And men are becoming more agitated as a result of the loss of affection from women. Its hard to love your master.
I just bought a new toilet. One said it can flush 6 billiard balls at once. another said it can flush 8 golfballs in a single flush.
>WTF are you people eating?<
@arratoon@asbestos 😂😂😂😂 same. Ive been vegan for 3. And Im Filipino. We basically devour spam back home like water. I will never spam again vegan or not.
@anathema_device@asbestos I’ll have to try a few Filipino dishes that use spam, then! But even then, that’s just evidence that humans can turn almost anything into a delicious dish. Doing it with spam is like mesoamericans using nixtamalization to make corn digestible.
Nikki Haley-
"The civil war was all about freedom. . . .individual freedom, individual rights"
Am I the only one who thinks she is talking about the rights of the slave owners, not the rights of the slaves?
If you have ever complained about micro aggressions or cultural insensitivity. I have a suggestion. Don't call Jewish people "white" or "white colonialists" It's offensive and totally minimizes the long history of antisemitism, pogroms, murder, and displacement of Jews. #racism #antisemitism #israel
@asbestos
ashkenazim are white. the only people who think we aren't tend to be nazis. those of us living in Palestine are actively colonizing it, that's a simple fact.
@asbestos It's really frustrating to see the history of the Jewish diaspora routinely dismissed. The fact that Jews miraculously survived two millennia of discrimination, subjugation, and pogroms and managed to maintain a connection to the place from which they were expelled is held against them. I don't know of any other exiled group whose identity is this frequently questioned.

A few years ago I was on a medical app where people post cases. One person said "when you hear hoofbeats think horses not zebras"
A doc f replied and said I work in a rural clinic in Kenya. If you hear hoofbeats it's going to be zebras. #perspective
Someone I know has a kid that has had some rather sharp words about the Middle East conflict. Totally anti Israeli. Another friend of mine asked if I was pissed about that I said "No" primarily because she is a nurse who has traveled to work in refuge camps around the world. Her mental health has suffered for it too. So no, I'm not going to jump in and start telling her what she should think. If you put in the work, you're entitled to a lot of latitude.
Edit: background I'm Jewish (atheist.)
Every time Israel responds to a minor rocket attack by destroying a bunch of homes and rushing in and doing all sorts of stuff that inevitably seems to cause deaths of Palestinians (who knows what percentage were actual combatants) at a ratio of like 5:1 it was an outrage. I have nothing but contempt for people ruining around and doing atrocities.
1/2
I also believe that Hamas and their ilk are violent terrorists who would relish wiping Israel and it's people from the earth. They have proven their utter disregard for their own people. and their enthusiasm for killing children. There is more than enough evil to go around.
@asbestos
Hamas is absolutely a terrorist organization but Israel has historically done a pretty good job domestically equating them to all Palestinians, most of which their grandparents were kicked.out of their homes and just want to live somewhere that settlements aren't squeezing them into smaller and smaller areas
I've had a lot of harsh words for people who have justified Hamas' actions. That said, you can't blockade a whole city. That's not OK, it's an outrage. It's going to inevitably cause deaths of children and non combatants. It's also really stupid policy.
