New Mexico voters can now sign up to receive absentee ballots permanently.

It works! Go to https://www.sos.nm.gov/voting-and-elections/voter-information-portal-nmvote-org/ and begin process for 2024 Primary ballot, then after entering your personal info, look for the Check Eligibility button after which you will be presented with a checkbox to sign up.

Petroglyphs at Una Vida

I'm not a photographer. A Photographer would have timed the visit to when the light fell uniformly across the cliff face. I'm just a person who takes photos of the places I'm visiting.

Golden Hour
Chaco Culture National Historic Park, NM

Yes, you owe it to yourselves to visit this beautiful desert canyon filled with more amazing sights than you would have thought before you visited. It's far enough off the beaten path that you can enjoy a surrounded by the remains of a vast culture. I took this photo on my way to the campground after a wonderful day exploring the canyon.

This species formerly/sometimes is known as a Marsh Hawk (to qualify for ). She is flying low to hunt for prey, such as mice.

A Bandelier photo from a different location than yesterday's. This view shows the Long House ruins at the foot of rhyolite tuff cliffs. Look carefully and you may see horizontal rows of holes carved in the cliff to support roof beams. See the link for more info:

@ai6yr You started a thread on bike helmets back in the mists of time. One respondent mentioned Bell and Gyro will send free replacement pads. I looked inside my helmet to see model/size and discovered the mfg date of 2011. <hand hitting forehead emoji> I've ordered a new helmet.

"Bandelier National Monument protects over 33,000 acres of ruggedly beautiful canyon and mesa country. Petroglyphs, dwellings carved into the soft rock cliffs, and standing masonry walls pay tribute to the early days of a culture that still survives in the surrounding communities.... Creamsicle Sunset

While poking around in my photos from a Spring trip to L.A., I found this unprocessed file. I loved how the sun was two-toned against the gradient of the sky and silhouette of beach and lifeguard tower.

I only added a slight amount of contrast to the RAW file, everything else is as natural as possible.

A Creamsicle is an American vanilla ice cream/orange sherbet confection that has been around since at least my childhood.
