Is there a simple enough service for making a fundraiser where I can have preset amounts to donate against?

I'm thinking of implementing an online "envelope fundraiser" and wondering what to have collect the funds

In the past I've used Paypal, but there are fees and they can get handsy with the funds. Also I don't think I can set an amount and be told who donated.

Maybe I should just flintstone this and do it manual style with Paypal and cash app.

Do you ever think about how the writers of the cheapo Home Alone cash-in "Blank Check" were really focused on the idea that a bank would not normally actually simply cash a check such as the one at the center of the movie's plot and so they devote an incredible amount of work to contriving a set of circumstances that would cause a bank to not follow the security procedures which a bank in the real world ordinarily be expected to follow when cashing an unusually large check

I have a question regarding dependencies and semver for maintainers. let's say I have package B which depends on package A.

If I move a class from package A to package B does this constitute a BC break for A and B or only for A ?

Of course you can also copy the class from A to B and have B use the B version while leaving A as is and not have any breaks at all

4 years to the day after George Floyd was murdered, here's where we are:

  • Racist people are just as racist as the day before George Floyd was murdered.

  • Black people are still asking for the exact same things.

  • "Liberal" and "Centrist" white Americans are more racist, and less supportive of DEI than they were the day before George Floyd.

  • Police budgets have grown faster than they did the day before George Floyd.

  • Biden has undone any of the gains made during the protests.

I don’t entirely understand who Republicans are performing for. The ones who are most in the bag for Israel, no matter how genocidal Israel is, and are currently yelling about antisemitism on college campuses, do not care about antisemitism or students or Israel as a state or Jews. Many of them are either overtly or covertly antisemitic. Who is the audience?

@glennf evangelicals support Israel for religious reasons, they believe that it has to do with the end times.

For some like Johnson, that’s probably enough, for others, it’s more to do with rich evangelical donors.
