Let's be clear on what it means that a famine in the technical sense is imminent for 1.1 million people in Gaza according to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC).

One of the criteria is 2 deaths per 10,000 people from outright starvation or the interaction of malnutrition and disease... PER DAY.

The people who understand this stuff are saying that a situation is imminent where there are AT LEAST 200 starvation deaths every day.

@Radical_EgoCom That’s not dictatorship of the proletariat. It literally is the proletariat running the state as the ruling class, not some silly bureaucrats. Sure, state is oppression, but it is only a symptom of a class society. You need to get rid of the classes before the state. Only through socialism classes can disappear and thus the state itself.

If state died today, you’d still have classes, where one class is oppressed by the other. People would still act the way material conditions under capitalism has shaped them. Bourgeoisie would still have the power over proletariat. Oppression would remain.

Transition period is mandatory.
