Ich will gar nicht erst von anderen Politikbereichen (von "sozial", "antirassistisch" und "feministisch" sehe ich ohnehin nichts) anfangen, aber alleine wegen ihrer Umweltpolitik, habe ich mit den fertig:

Klimaziele der GroKo(!) aufgeweicht ❌

Pro Grundschleppnetzfischerei in Meeresschutzgebieten(!) ❌

Gegen Brachen in der Landwirtschaft ❌

Und ich lasse mir nicht das Märchen verkaufen, das sei alles nur wegen der . Es ist nur der Wille zur "Macht" und fehlendes Rückgrat.

@mina wir kriegen halt eher selten was wir wollen, tragen aber trotzdem Verantwortung.

Was ich von dir erwarte is vollkommen irrelevant. Was erwartest du von dir?

Aus den miesen Alternativen die am wenigsten schlechte (deiner Meinung nach) zu wählen, ist ja eher weniger aufwändig. Mensch kann mitunter auch mehr tun um die Situation zu verbessern.

Positive Entwicklung ist nie garantiert. Wenn wir nix tun, verlieren wir evtl die Rechte und Freiheiten, die andere für uns erstritten haben.

Here's a pattern to observe: Whenever a directive (which MUST be implemented in national law) is perceived as a net positive, the national governments will claim it is THEIR success when they (after max 24 months) implement it in national law. They will almost never mention that it was the EU that did it. When a directive is perceived as net negative, the blame goes to Brussels. The EU can never win and show how much good they do. That's why I use .

@etchedpixels I agree with you on the corruption and the need to fix it. I might agree on the causes if not for the ocean of national states steeped in corruption, who came about differently.

I think we require a more...realistic analysis before we can try and fix the problem. @jwildeboer

@Tusky I would never have recognized this is the thread version of the 'show more' button.

Can we use the same symbolism for toggling CW visibility for single posts and threads?...so people have a chance of recognizing the similar functionality? (Maybe modify the 'show more' button label?)
No idea what's the best move here.

The session was well attended. The stage turned out slightly too small.

We split into conversation groups around different topics, e.g. with kids, newbie poly, experienced poly, poly as a trans being, and a few others.

One of the groups formed an orga team for an assembly next year...and signal groups (orga/interest)

Weil ich rechtlich verpflichtet bin, mich auf absolut jeder Social Media Plattform anzumelden, gibt's islieb, @isfies und @heyokyay jetzt auch auf Threads von Meta. Wer's braucht.

Die Interessanteste an der App finde ich aber, dass sie in der EU wegen der schwierigen Gesetzeslage erst ein halbes Jahr später kam.

Ich glaube, EU-Auflagen können ein Eigentor werden und dazu führen, dass früher oder später ein wichtiger Dienst (z.B. sowas wie ChatGPT) hierzulande gar nicht veröffentlicht wird.

Die EU ist ein großer Markt und hat daher die Macht die Richtung mitzuentscheiden.

Was du sagst ist: Besser keine Regulierung, damit menschenverachtende und demokratiegefährdenden Konzerne ihre Machtwerkzeuge und Gelddrucker schneller online bringen können.

Was hier (im Ansatz) verteidigt wird, sind deine Rechte.

The German word "nein" means "no".

But there is more ways to say no:

"Naa" = No. (Bavarian)

"Noi" = No. (Swabian)

"Nei" = No. (Swiss German)

"Nö" = Nope.

"Nee" = No. (slang)

"Neeeee" = No way, what made you think that?

"Nenene" = Don't even think about it!

"Nää" = Never ever!

"Neun" = Nine (9) 😁

Please remember, whatever form you use: Nö means nö.

Leute, kann mir wer mal einen sehr guten (Preis/Leistung) Mobilfunkvertrag von O2 empfehlen bitte. Ich habe ein frei finanziertes Telefon und einen viel zu teuren Uraltvertrag. Ich will ne Flat weil ich nicht über Nutzung außerhalb von WLAN nachdenken will. Mich überfordert die Suche.

Falls, du wie ich Ich quasi mit WLAN Abdeckung lebst (auf Arbeit, daheim, in den Öffis), kannst du eine Menge sparen. Ich weiß, das geht nicht allen so.

Ich hab einen prepaid Tarif mit 1 cent pro MB aber !wichtig! ohne Guthabensverfall.

Ich schalt Daten ein, wenn ich sie für was brauche.

Meine Mobilfunkkosten für 2023 sind bisher: 9€.

Threads is the most fun, most interesting new product of the year, and no one in the E.U. can use it, or will be able to use it anytime soon, because their own elected officials passed a law that effectively bans it.

@joshhunt @Sonikku my understanding is that threads is illegal because it mixes user data from different sources (insta, fb, threads) collected for different purposes.

Under GDPR you cat only collect personal information you need to supply the service and only use it for that purpose. Collecting data in one product for one purpose and then use it in another product for another purpose is hence illegal.

Heads-up to chaos.social users: This week, Meta (Facebook/Instagram) are releasing their new app, Threads, which reportedly will be Fediverse-compatible.

There are a lot calls to block (or not block) them. We are both too busy this week to make a truly considered decision – sorry for that. Please give us a couple of days: We will sit down and make a call during or just after the weekend.

We'll post here once we've made a decision.
