For my birthday, I'd really like it if my beloved fedi could spread word far and wide of Kitsune Tails. It's a platformer with a heartwarming story featuring queer main characters and personal discoveries in classic SMB3 style. yuzu kitsune tails, a purple haired fox girl, picks up samurai armor in a tower that's rapidly filling with lava. she jumps away from the rising lava and sticks her spear in the wall, doing a dashing twirl to get on top of it. she walks off the spear and into a new scene, fighting a ghost fox with armor and spear. it stabs and she jumps over, but is caught by a follow up stab. the ghost fox over extends and its ghostly powers wane, giving yuzu a chance to bop on its head

You should definitely check the options. There's a CRT shader in Kitsune Tails made by @JoshJers which isn't on by default (because people get upset by that kinda thing) but playing with it on is totally the recommended experience

little #mastodon protip: due to how posts federate there's no guarantee someone will see a link/video preview when they see your post, especially on small servers. this means that you'll probably want to add some kind of relevant description in the post where you're posting the link, like repeating the headline or quoting a relevant excerpt

If you come into my mentions saying there are bigger problems than covid and treating it like a flu isn't the end of the world you will be aggressively told to educate yourself on the realities of covid (https://covidsafetyforschools.org) with a minimum of 8 slides from that course and if you then keep minimizing covid to me you will be blocked

The slides will show that an order of magnitude more children are hospitalized from covid than flu, that it kills way more than an order of magnitude people than flu does, that it's a vascular illness not a respiratory illness like the flu, which causes significant long term increases in potentially fatal cardiovascular events, that it causes likely irreversible neuron fusing which causes cognitive impairment, that it causes IQ drops cumulative with each infection, and that it greatly increases risk of developing alzheimer's and parkinson's disease

TL;DR if you're a covid minimizer and you like to follow me I highly suggest you keep it to your fucking self

The problem with outsourcing your chat or forum to third parties is that you don't own them. That is correct

The problem with self hosting those things yourself is that 1. nobody will use them because why aren't you just using this 3rd party app that everyone is already using and 2. have fun doing your own spam control

sitting here wondering if i've ever actually fully completed any final fantasy game and uhh

... i dont think i've finished literally a single one despite having played 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, crisis core, tactics, and tactics advance

i've gotten to the end in 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 but something always happened that stopped me from beating the final boss. my save corrupted in 5, idk wtf happened in 6, i recall getting frustrated in 7 and 8, and in 10 i decided to get all the ultimate weapons and quit playing in disgust after finally beating the stupid chocobo race
