@AmiW I don't know. It feels fake. Even if it's real and legit, it still feels fake like I'm being tricked, and that's a different problem. Here's Dorothea Lange. Every bit of it is genius and earnest, even when it's staged. https://mastodon.ozioso.online/@DorotheaLange
I've learned that the easiest way for me to create art is to start by sitting in a chair daily for any length of time with a pencil or pen in hand and actually make art.
The first time I did this, I set a goal of doing so for 100 days. It extended well past that. I later started creating a calendar in my bullet journal where I could draw something small daily -- even if it was just a doodle. Working on getting back into this habit.
Now, I love a cheese overdose as much as the next person, but I think all my arteries simultaneously clogged watching this clip.
Americans: please stop "inventing" dishes.
@BeefGriller@fkamiah17 Fellow #Philadelphia native. When nobody is looking, skip the ketchup and use mayo. It's much better, but don't get caught! And I've never in my life seen bacon on a cheesesteak.
We talk about achievement. About goals. Setting them. Reaching them. About getting somewhere, becoming something. But what happens the morning after? What happens the next day? After the parade, the party. After they sweep the confetti away. What happens when the big moment fades? Maybe it's never been greatness we were after, but a baseline standard of enoughness brought to our days.
@tveskov You'll regret not renewing it. I lost hotdogonabun.com to an SEO backlink farmer. It took me years to get it back. I don't do anything with it, but I got it back, and that's what matters! 😀
Kudos to musical artists everywhere who don't put intros, sound clips, or skits on their albums and just let the songs speak for themselves. I'm guilty of doing this myself with my own songs in the past, too. Never again
