Ok maybe I‘m the last one noticing this but when there’s a time picker, like this rolling wheel thing, you can either scroll (of course) or you tap again on the wheel thing and a number pad appears to enter manually
I honestly didn’t know this until now 😅

If you’re on mastodon.social, I would highly recommend that you switch to a different server that protects its people instead of exposing them to a well-known bad actor like Facebook/Meta via Threads.

feels like this month we’ve run the gamut of various failure modes of free software and open source software in a world where the person maintaining it has to keep a roof over their head and feed their kids.

Without FLOSS I suspect that technology would not be that much different today from how it was in 1998. The efficiencies it has enabled have underpinned the revolution from web 2.0 onwards, but at this point a lot of infra free software looks more like working for google for free

Al Qaeda affiliate in Somalia Al Shabab have released an hour long propaganda video, depicting their September 2023 ambush of a convoy of Ethiopian troops near the town of Rab Dhuure in southwestern Somalia.

Released via Al Kataib, their media arm, the video was easier to find, because Al Shabab, once banned from Twitter are making a return on "X." The graphic footage shows scores of Ethiopian dead & clearly shows that the ambush was far worse than what Ethiopian officials portrayed it to be.

Bit of frustration tonight making VisionFive 2 builds of #HaikuOS . Mine kept hanging at MMCBusDriver. Thankfully X512 ‘s January build (just dumped with dd on the NVMe) boots fine. Mouse isn’t working though so I can just look at it I guess 😅
