"There was no way I could support the Democratic presidential nominee, Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey. Only years later did I realize that I was mistaken, and we missed an opportunity to have a president who might actually have made America great by championing racial justice, labor rights, and the war against poverty."

So the former president (who lost the 2020 election) says Judge Merchan should be replaced because his daughter has done consulting work for some Democrats.

So Judge Cannon who owes her job as a judge should be replaced too, right?

Oh yeah, how about Gorsuch, Kavanaugh and Barrett? Shouldn't they also recuse from any case involving the former president?

Yeah, there's something very fishy about people's perceptions. "My state is doing great, but the nation is doing terribly..."

Things really don't work like that. Individual states can lag or skip ahead of the national situation, but they can't be complete opposites.

If you know anyone who is thinking/saying anything that looks like this, please take the opportunity to ask them how that's possible, because it's not.

As bad as the Arizona decision looks on its face, in the context of the history of the law makes it much, much worse.
