We have been hearing something that sounded kind of like a dog howling/yelping down by the pond behind our house in the woods for a few days...so we went over there. Nothing, complete quiet, no birds were chirping, then I heard a whistle like someone was calling a dog... but there wasn't anyone over there.

Eleven thousand people killed, and my radio's just been banging on about trump and biden as usual. Hell all I've seen on fedi was one post comparing it to 9/11.

I need to go back to listening to better news sources.

@Jason844 do you remember the wagon train that traveled across the US that year? I do. We went over to the Highway and watched them come through. A bunch of people dressed as pioneers traveling in wagons… trying to be as accurate as possible. It came through here because a major route went through Arkansas. I always wondered if any died of dysentery on the trip. To be 💯 accurate someone should have taken one for the team.

FML. My apartment management just showed up to install the new internet package, which sounded pretty good (Symmetrical Gbit). Dude comes in to set it up and is trying to install a wifi access point behind my couch. I told him I don't need an access point because I have my own mesh network, I just need to connect the new modem to my network rack. He starts trying to explain that the internet doesn't require a modem, so I'm like confused af.

After like 10 minutes of trying to figure out wtf this guy is talking about, I realized they've installed an apartment complex wide wifi mesh network, so there is no individual internet packages anymore. Everyone in the entire apartment complex is just connected to one big wifi network. They claim all the users are segmented by VLAN, but I genuinely don't think I've ever wanted something less in my life.

The governor is shitting her pants because the ASP is being sued for violating our FOIA law after Blue Hog requested her PAST (if I could bold and underline that, I would) travel records and expenses and the ASP refused to turn them over, citing security issues. Again, these are past travel records. For travel taken in the past. As in, it already happened.

I just wanna say, in no defense or support of anybody or anything, I've heard a lot of folx talking about injury related to his age. Last I checked, there's a lot of young QBs and players in general that get season-ending injuries. Look at Joe Burrow and Jimmy Garrapolo. It's a violent physical sport, you're likely to get injured regardless of age

Also, I ruptured my before I turned 30. Had a friend rupture his WHILE WALKING.

@dancinyogi I’ve been going to the same dental office since I was five. My original dentist has retired, but the other guy I have seen since my teens. He is great!! He always says “I’m gonna numb you up really good, because I don’t like to hurt either.” I love him and will be sad when he retires. However, I have seen the other younger female dentist a few time. I love the people who work there!!

Okay I saw a list of recommendations of SciFi books on here earlier, w/some authors I haven’t heard ofalong w/Ursula LeGuin,and I was going to take a pic of it,but got distracted and I can’t find it now.It was someone I follow,i think so if you made/have that list please reply.Boosts appreciated.I love new authors/new books.My husband would say I have a little problem(he doesn’t know how many I have on my Kindle,heh)but we all know you can never have”too many”books.
