One lesson I learnt at my tour last week to the polar circle: if put on aeroplane mode and switched off during the night, your phone's battery can last for 7 days taking occasional pictures, if you keep it close to your body and during the night (-32°C outside the tent) inside your sleeping bag. Would have expected way shorter period.

I still have to realise that this really happened: Was reading Ada & #Zangemann at a school to 80 children (3+4 graders). There was a great and long discussion about their ideas for inventions and many questions about the book. Afterwards they asked me to give them autographs on their arms, hands, shoes, a poker card, ... (there was no paper around) and when I was leaving the school for my train ~30 of them were running next to me, thanking me, and asking me to do high fives with them.

What a great afternoon: had the chance to personally hand over the French translation of "Ada & #Zangemann - A Tale of Software, Skateboards, and Raspberry Ice Cream" (by @cfeditions ) to Cory Doctorow to thank him for his important support with my book. Got my copy of his fantastic book "Little brother" signed for my kids. And had a great conversation with him over dinner.

With all the e-mail scam out there, it would be so much better if email clients would by default display the full e-mail address from the sender instead of just the name.

For #Thunderbird users @fsfe's @tobias recommended to do this:

1. Click on a mail in the listing and select the "More" pull down menu at the right side of the button list.
2. Click on "Customize" at the end of the menu and
3. Check the check box to "Always show senders full address"

and finalize the customization by (...)
