Debian Users - Be aware the maintainer of the KeePassXC package for Debian has unilaterally decided to remove ALL features from it. You will need to switch to keepassxc-full to maintain capabilities once this lands outside of testing/sid.

@RL_Dane @Ray_Of_Sunlight @keepassxc looks to be security related when reading https://packages.debian.org/sid/keepassxc: This package includes only the bare minimal functionality, and no security complications like networking, SSH agent, browser plugin, fdo secret storage. See keepassxc-full if you absolutely need those.

Do I know anyone on here who has experience adapting a rotary phone to work over modern VOIP?

I know I will need both an adapter from rotary to touch tone and then a VOIP adapter, but there seems to be a variety of options and I can't tell what's good and what's lousy.

Computer storage NERDS: I'm looking for a cost-effective 1U faaast NAS.
This is the best I've found, for about £700. The next best i found was ~£1800.

@mattgrayyes I installed one for a non-profit recently. Good stuff. Lots of features and speed compared to similarly priced Synylogy in a compact enclosure. But I must admit the Synology GUI looks a bit nicer and has a more finished feel.

I've re-tested the Ampere Altra Max with Cinebench 2024 after applying a Windows 11 Enterprise license (thanks to @kdpuvvadi!) and rebooting...

And still only getting 64 cores on Windows on Arm.

@nixCraft I remember recompiling the kernel 20 years ago was easy. It was also necessary: to enable certain hardware support in the kernel. I guess not all hardware was supported out of the box because of the limited hardware resources in that time. If I remember correctly installing packages was typing "make" in the package source tree. I really should give FreeBSD a try again.
