Travelling for a week for work is exhausting. It leaves me feeling overwhelmed, overstimulated, and burnt out. Like a sponge wrung out.

I get home and am irritable and mean and asking for space to decompress is taken as a personal slight that I don’t like someone, when it’s only that I need to calm my body down and have no expectations on me.

I love this person very much but don’t know how to manage this part of work travel.

What might others do? #adhd

The universe is an incredible miracle.

So, too, then, is the Earth.

So, too, then, are the forests and oceans and sky.

And life! And animals and plants and insects and the colours and flavours and sounds of this place!

And so it follows that:

YOU are a miracle!

I am a miracle!

.....

Seems silly not to believe it when I break it down like this.

I'm going to work on believing it!

How?

1. knowing one's areas of expertise

2. knowing one's areas of challenge

3. utilizing the skills of others to bridge the gap.

Asking for help is empowering!

Interdependence IS independence!

I have had migraines since I was 8....I've learned for mine the best thing I can do is smoosh my head on the couch, somehow make and drink coffee and then force myself to get food and eat (usually toast with just butter).

Once that's in (which is a struggle), I feel a lot better.

Which is me writing this post right now. 🥰
