Kayak VR: Mirage is low key one of my favourite games of the year.

I can throw on my VR headset, connect wirelessly to my Steam library, and go kayaking anywhere in the world.

As a chronically ill and person, this opens doors for me that have been slammed shut in the real world. Iโ€™m so grateful this technology exists. :blobcatcomfygamer:

There is a tree of many branches.

Some of the branches give delicious fruit, some beautiful flowers, some poison fruit and some give nothing.

With all these branches, it means all the attributes are part of the trunk of the tree.

All these attributes are also held there in it.

Would you eat the delicious fruit or smell the flowers from the beautiful parts?

Or does doing so support the ugly parts living as it supports the trunk?

Can one be connected to the tree without ingesting poison?

@nathanlovestrees my metaphor is related to thinking about joining a churchy group for community....the one I am looking at is lovely, but others that it is associated with are kind of awful..

So would joining the one branch support the poison in the others? The trunk being the overall institution that has both

what do we have to do to make the plugin attractive to more users? We are currently at 4000+ active users on WordPress.org + the WordPress.com users.

@techaddressed @pfefferle I have a WordPress site to do it too but have not yet done it as there were limitations on which account it connected with iirc. The support team at WordPress didn't know much about it.

Like I didn't want it to connect to a new instance i set up related to the wordpress account, but an already existing fedi account

@manualdousuario @techaddressed @pfefferle thing is I have a mastodon account already...all I want is to connect my current mastodon account with my current website...the rest, while I understand it's function, is too much work. It needs to be as easy as adding a "publish to facebook" button using whatever acounts they want to have people use it in a bigger way.

Maybe it's the wrong plug-in for this then

I've been on Mastodon for around a year now, and I know this is ironic to say, but I find there to be a lot of complaining about all sorts of things here.

(Including me, now ha!)

It's not so much in the direct posts of those I follow, but in the trending and boosted things.

It feels overwhelmingly negative sometimes, and I find that I am muting and muting and muting.

Not into creating a bubble, but damn if it doesn't have its appeal with the negatIvity sometimes.

As is common with I have lots of calendar reminders.

One of them at 1pm reminds me to ask myself if I'm on task. Its productivity-focused....and I always just swipe it away without thinking.

As an attempt to be kinder to myself (and still get the things I want to do, done) I'm going to make a change.

So it's now a prompt for checking in with myself and extending self-care. ๐Ÿฅฐ
