It's strange to me when I see people get upset about people doing good deeds, and posting it online.

Yeah, so what? I'd much rather see people doing nice things for attention, than the people who do mean pranks or wasting food. A good deed is still good, even if it's done for the wrong reasons.

@RickiTarr Right??? RIGHT?! I never understood why people need good to be done only for sole purpose of your urge to help and even if you gain a tiny little benefit from it, this somehow disregards the whole good done. Why? If you're useful to this world I don't give two shits why you are useful.

@RickiTarr And also, attention to a good deed is useful in itself - it gives others ideas how to be useful, it reminds others there is so and so problem abd they can halp improve it, it gives others a good standard to strive for...

....wait a minute, could it be that people don't like to be reminded that they can improve the life of others if they want and that they are not just usless pawns that are always the victims?

Okay, so last night I was on a date, and I asked hubs what he was up to at work, and he told me he learned Python, so he could write a program to help people troubleshoot computer problems on their own.

I ask him, "You're creating a program to replace yourself?"

Apparently, just the boring easy stuff he doesn't want to deal with, because he has better ideas about how he wants to use his time at work.

Is this what you smart people do all day?!

@RickiTarr I once did a program to make an annoying task less annoying but by the time I finished the program and tried convincing myself to use it, I have realized I'm actually way too sick of the task and the accommodating it tasks and gave up on it all together. So in other words, I spend a couple of days to automate somthing that takes less than an hour and than used the program just a handful of times.

@RickiTarr One from today. Especially spooky to me because it's just moments after realizing I can't stop the water from my outdoor valves, a bit after I realized I can't stop the water from my indoor valves.

So now I have to contact the water company to fix the outdoor valves, so I can fix the indoor valves, so I can change the pipe going thro my walls at the staircase, so the electrician could finish the electric set up, so the plasterer could start plastering.....

For the Mastodon, does anyone know why is taking me forFUCKever to send down my door to raw wood. I don't have a lot of clues but here is what I can gather:
Clue A: there was oil paint on the door that I removed with a heat gun
Clue B: the solid part of the door is easier to sand, the 3 thin panels take the most time
Clue C: I think the panels are plywood but don't quote me on that
Clue D: I'm using an orbital sander and delta sander. At the beginning I started by usind 120 sandpaper but now I work with anything between 40 and 80.
Clue E: I belive I'm on week 2 or 3 of sending, it doesn't seem like I take that much of the material.
Clue F: I tried using acetone to go through the leftover paint and the dark wood layer but with no luck

Exhibit B: Close up of the door where it's visible the raw wood and also a darker wood layer I'm trying to sand through
Exhibit C: Door after paint removal but befor/at the beginning of sanding.

People be like: I love gardening because it saves you money on groceries. For example, I picked my first cucumber. It only costed me 387.39€ on soil, water, fertilizer, gardening beds and seedlings to grow it.
