@MikeBlazer 100? Wow. I haven't seen that many. But to be honest, a lot of the accounts I block do come from mastodon.social where your account is located.
So it appears this only filters out content based on dates found in/on the pages. That is, if there is no date in/on the page then it won't be listed in the search results.
OR, if there is a date, and the date is BEFORE or AFTER the specified year (depending on which directive you use), the page will be filtered from the SERPs.
So these are not time travel operators (I didn't think they were).

Interesting #Google search operators (or maybe pseudo-operators) that do change results.
For those getting fed up with all the Google SERP results coming from Reddit can I please remind you of the Google operators. Just add -reddit.com after your query and it will not return anything from Reddit.
Or install a browser extension like Ultimasaurus or uBlacklist.

They should never have done this, but while this will only fuel more outrage toward #Israel, I stand by what I've said all along: if you don't condemn #Hamas for refusing to lay down arms and freeing all hostages, you are supporting #terrorism and #genocide
Hamas wants the war in #Gaza to continue. They know it feeds #antisemitism around the world and builds misguided sympathy for their cause - which is to destroy Israel and kill all Jews everywhere.
Ultimately, all of these deaths are Hamas' responsibility. This is what they wanted to happen.
And they've broken 5 previous "permanent" ceasefires. Anyone who thinks they would honor another one is a damned fool.
The IDF issued a statement that has been published in the last couple of days:
“Contrary to claims, the IDF does not use an artificial intelligence system that identifies terrorist operatives or tries to predict whether a person is a terrorist,”
You can find the statement near the end of this story.
"My recommendation would be not to focus so much on the absolute count of links. ... over-focusing on links will often result in you wasting your time doing things that don't make your website better overall."
People keep quoting John's words out of context, giving the wrong impression about the intention of his advice. And, naturally, many people in the SEO community are slamming him over this out-of-context quote.
He was responding to a question about why someone's Ahrefs backlink report didn't show the same links as the Google Search Console report. And John's point was the guy was spending too much time fussing over links.
In fact, he was subtly implying that people shouldn't be using these 3rd-party SEO tools for their own backlink profile analysis. While it's true GSC won't show you everything, no SEO tool can show you what Google knows about or counts.
So focus on the things you can actually do something about.

I suppose the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Web team are not (yet) in the Fediverse, but I hope they one day fix this problem. MSN has a similar issue. Or maybe it's a bug in the Mastodon software, but I see a lot of news story shares in the Fediverse that look like this.
Google's still delisted my 100% hand wrtitten site for "pure spam".
I'm looking at my "toxic links" in SEMRUSH and I was told not to bother to disavow these (unless I actually paid for links, which I have not) but there are a lot more than there were.
Almost all of them are either scrapes of my content and/or hotlinking my images though (which cloudflare blocks?).
I hate SEO, so disavow yes/no? Shouldn't matter, but I shouldn't be marked as spam. IDK.
3rd party SEO tools are useless for this kind of analysis. And their ideas of "toxic links" are nonsense.
You should look at what Google Search Console is telling you.
Also, Google's March 2024 update can take up to a month to roll out. It's going to do all sorts of crazy things in that time. Many of them will be reversed without people having to do anything.
Don't disavow links. That will just end up hurting you even more.

I haven’t been able to think about much other than my BPD diagnosis the past month.
I want to write more on my newsletter but I feel like I need other topics 😅 and my in-progress pieces feel like they need more time before I can come back to them.
I guess I feel a bit stuck cause talking about my mental illness 24/7 isn’t comfortable or interesting for others
Those calling for #ceasefirenow are obviously ignoring the fact that #Hamas doesn't want a real cease fire.
There WAS a cease fire on October 6.
Hamas could end this war immediately by surrending and releasing all remaining hostages.
Hamas is NOT a "resistance". They are not freedom fighters.
They are a blood-thirsty, warmongering organization with only 1 objective: to destroy Israel.
Hamas kills #Palestinians who resist their oppression.
If you don't condemn Hamas and call for their immediate unconditional surrender, not only are you supporting a continued war, you are supporting #terrorism and #genocide
Refusal to place the blame for #Gaza's thousands of deaths on Hamas is compliance with Hamas' strategy and support for their war.
"I admit that there are two sides, but what michael is saying is so one-sided it would be funny if it wasn't so serious. "
That is absolute bullshit obviously intended to deflect from what I've actually said so as to present yet another lie into the discussion.
"Considering that, in 1924, only 11% of Palestine's population was Jewish, it is the massive encroachment and rights-denying of generations of people by the Zionist state that has constantly pushed people into a corner where even supporting violent response can be seen as preferable to the Israeli attempts to annihilate the Palestinians ..."
And there you go - lying by selective history.
Israel was founded as a result of the decision by the United Nations to provide a homeland for the Jews. And they used an existing plan that was established PRIOR to the British Mandate by Jews and Muslim Palestinians themselves.
The British mucked up everything with their policy of playing various groups against each other.
I don't see enough people asking why all these people who are outraged by Israel's bombing in #Gaza don't express similar anger toward #Russia over its indiscriminate bombing and shelling of Ukrainian civilians.
I don't agree with Netanyahu's policies or strategies. I don't support the indiscriminate killing of civilians, even in a zone like Gaza where #Hamas has built hundreds of tunnels under homes, schools, and hospitals and intentionally uses the civilian population as human shields to maximize casualties.
Nonetheless, if you're going to be outraged over civilian deaths, I think you should express similar outrage over the intentional deaths in Ukraine (and we might as well mention the intentional deaths of civilians occurring throughout Africa, where Al Qaeda/ISIS-linked militant groups continue to attack villages and small cities).
@localzuk "But for Gaza? What exactly is the West doing? Our leaders are supporting Israel in its campaign instead."
And yet most of the outrage I see is completely silent on #Hamas, which does not represent the Palestinians (certainly not the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who live in Israel and who support the war against Hamas).
Hamas is the greater problem here. They could end the war in a day by surrendering and releasing the hostages. Instead, they have committed to further attacks against Israel in the future (and they continue to fire rockets toward Israel).
All the anti-Israel outrage is useless because it only does Hamas' bidding (and as others have pointed out, indirectly the bidding of Iran, China, and Russia).
So we need to continue pointing out the hypocrisy of the anti-Israel protests. Until everyone condemns Hamas, most people are supporting #terrorism and #genocide, and I find that unacceptable.
The outcome of Hamas' October 7 action is the war in #Gaza.
Hamas and only Hamas is responsible for the death and destruction in Gaza. No one else, regardless of how despicable and misguided Netanyahu's policies and strategies may be.
"The deaths of tens of thousands, and injuries of hundred thousand more are bigger issue."
And until you and others like you stop ignoring the problem and point your fingers at Hamas and Iran, the problem will only get worse.
Even if you could stop Israel today, you would only set the stage for a greater war with even more deaths and destruction in the future.
Your blaming the victims only proves that Hamas has easily manipulated you into doing what they want - setting the stage for the next war, which will be worse than this one.
If you really care about Palestinians, you should be condemning Hamas with all your heart and passion. Only Hamas can stop this - or their destruction.
