The has become a coalition of rural grievance merchants, COVID skeptics, & anti-LGBTQ activists - @maxfawcett

None of this is good for the millions of Albertans who live in its cities and suburbs and want to see their government focus on things like the economy, education and health care. But as the UCP made abundantly clear over the weekend, they’re just not interested in what those people want anymore.

I don't think it's overly dramatic to point out when a mainstream political party gets support from:

  • former Proud Boys
  • channels claiming the World Economic Forum is ushering in a “Fourth Reich”

@HabsFan 🤷

The channel created an accompanying graphic featuring an assembly of world leaders sitting in a circle around a giant glass pyramid covered with human skulls that emits a shiny light and reads: “The future does not belong to the globalists.”

London is facing the most severe homelessness challenge in the country. Whilst rough sleeping is the most visible, there are an estimated 170,000 homeless Londoners living in temporary accommodation. This equates to one in 50 residents of the capital and includes one in every 23 children.

So it's got nothing to do with how Doug Ford kept the minimum wage too low then @dyckron 🤔

the highest proportion of people living in financially strapped households was in southern Ontario.

Almost half of respondents in the St. Catharines-Niagara area reported financial hardship at 41.8 per cent. Next was Windsor at 41 per cent, Kitchener-Cambridge-Waterloo at 40.7 per cent, and Toronto at 38.1 per cent.

Thank you @dyckron: "For victims of domestic violence, an affordable home is hope."

The City of Calgary recently published its Housing Needs Assessment, which suggests an annual salary of $84,000 is needed to afford average market rent.

Even though Alberta has the highest average weekly earnings across Canada, renting is an unaffordable expense for most and is even more inaccessible to women escaping domestic violence.

Canada's federal system has kept Indigenous people over-incarcerated for too long, watchdog says in second part of a two-year investigation.

The steady and unabated increase in the disproportionate representation of peoples under federal sentence is nothing short of a national travesty and remains one of 's most pressing challenges
