One thing: I really wish the MSM would stop saying "hush money to a porn star" and "cover up an affair". He was convicted of ELECTIONS FRAUD. This matters. Having sex (barely consensual if it all) with a porn actor is NOT illegal, nor is lying about it to your wife. Spending campaign money to influence an election by manipulation of information and the media: Illegal. This is about elections and core democratic principles.

Tesla Cybertruck is not the greatest marketing campaign for the brand.

Tesla cybertruck struggles to remove itself from a river due to the embankments. The truck rushes forward to become stuck in position, and then reverses to try and leave the river, but it is unable to. One person can be seen in the river bank.

The new tariffs set today aim to stop the imports of grain from #Russia and #Belarus into the EU in practice. I predict Trump will be found guilty. Then, instead of talking about the win for the rule of law, the focus of ALL the coverage in the MSM will be on the appeal.

@stux 1. Billionaires' PJs are a negligible contribution to climate change. Aviation is about 2.5% global CO2, PJs are less 1% of aviation.
2. Taylor Swift rarely travelled in that jet. She was concerned that stalkers would harm other people who hired the jet.
3. Taylor Swift more than double offsets her CO2.

It's not their jets, it's their businesses. We really need to focus on a fossil fuel ban not actions of individuals, rich or poor. Most of what we've done so far is pointless.

Question for security-minded people:

How are you handling video calls in light of Win 11 Recall / Copilot?

I do not consent to other people randomly recording me. How on earth do I vet everyone's operating systems for work calls?

Right now I am angry & thus not framing the question elegantly. For the love of all that's holy, do not lecture me about asking the wrong question or in the wrong way.

If you have mandatory work video calls, how are you handling this yourself?

@ShaulaEvans The ability to record your screen is not new. Anybody could with VLC on Windows 10/11, if they wanted to, record their screen when they are on a zoom call with you and zoom won't be able to tell you that you are being recorded. Also true on Ubuntu. As far as OS go Windows is very, VERY nosy, indeed it already has extreme monitoring built in - recording the screen being the least of its activities tbh been like this for years now. But you are right, one for IT to consider. edit:neuk!

The first cabinet of the continuity government of the Union will meet in October. It is expected to have secured the CoS by then and identified any foreign agents.
