Hey @Mrfunkedude, you seem to have quite the Twitch/Youtube/Peertube livestream setup going on. Is your setup documented anywhere? I have some friends who have a somewhat successful (as in they earn $ from it.. not enough to cover rent but it pays for new microphones and stuff) Youtube channel and I've been pushing them to to live streams and branch into the fediverse and you seem like you know what you're doing.

There’s likely a ton of takeaways from this and his demeanor and all that hot take crap but I have a few points that may get overlooked:

  1. Trump repeatedly admits that he is willfully violating the gag order that is still in place, all but daring Merchan to hold him in contempt and jail him for it.

  2. If I were on Bragg’s team, this would be my first exhibit at sentencing to prove that Trump has no remorse and that an incarcerate sentence is necessary. It is a complete demonstration of the total lack of willingness to take responsibility for his criminal conduct, blaming anyone and everyone but himself for his criminal acts.

Just my $.02.

@SirTapTap yeah there is a 30 hr Tencent adaptation. its actually more faithful to the original book (1 of 3) but its kinda slow, the acting is a bit wooden and/or the screenwriting sucked (hard to say i suspect its a disconnect between Chinese and western production methods). Netflixs moves faster and pulled a few macuffins to keep cast continuity thru s2 (book 2 is 100 yrs later) but i find is just as entertaining and its "respectful" of the source material unlike say Foundation was.

k. just drove from west of to and I'm wrecked. I know its a 6-7 hr drive in theory but it always seemed to my pea brain that Ontario just kinda ends at and Kingston is 2hrs east of Toronto. Nope, still more, keep going. Then ends and you still have like 60 more km. I keep forgetting how mindbogglingly big is.

700 km. In Europe you would have covered like five countries.

Over the holidays VLGF and I looked at dismay at our local and #provincial #covid monitoring results (#wastewater, hospitalizations, new cases etc) and decided that when we went back in public, or to work, we'd be #masking.

We recently inherited (or rather, bought for cheap from his widow) my FIL's 2009 #minivan. It now has a steering fluid #leak. Unfortunately from the rack+pinion. Fortunately(?) only when turning left. The parts are available, but we'll have to save up the coin, its #heckaspensive.

So for now Ill continue to just top up the fluid every few days. And only turn right. I've mapped out routes to/from work and its doable only turning right. Itll be like I'm a FedEx/UPS driver.

If I put Dentist 3:30 pm in my Google calendar, but with a start time of 3:00 pm, Google Calendar "helpfully" changes the apointment start time to 3:30.. and then removes 3:30 from the name of the appointment.

That's not AI, thats a few lines of code.

Outlook and other clients "helpfully" autoarchive my email. ie.. move it around to where I can't find it again.

So I have a bunch of services running at home. Now, my home is your typical large Canadian telco (aka assholes) and they are actively sabotaging my host-at home stuff. (i.e. I set it up, it works a few days, then it stops being reachable from outside, at work, rebooting doesn't fix etc.)

Can any recommend a reliable "just works" remoting solution (where the host is linux) where I can always remote in if the host has power and an outbound connection?? (paid is ok)

Of all the low down scummy , I think I hate the NSF fee the absolute worst.

Back in the day, it made sense when electronic transactions didn't exist and while cheques could be routed electronically due to their routing number, a human still had to process it. There was cost associated with the bounce.
