I'd like to remind all Mastodon users that you can add a language filter to any follow relationship on Mastodon.

If you follow me and you don't speak German, you can easily remove my German posts from your timeline by adjusting the language settings.

Go to my profile page, select the dot menu and click "Change subscribed languages". Then select the languages that you speak.

This really is a hidden gem 💎 on Mastodon and not many people seem to know this feature :awesome:

Just discovered that most of the people I was following over at Bluesky haven't been active there in months, sometimes many months.

I've got a hunch that Bluesky is not going to be the Twitter successor they hope for. 🤔

Sorry it is worse than I thought, and such power should be removed from ActivityPub.

As I said, a whimsical admin (I am not saying is you), can censhorship content at will for his instance users without them having a saying on the issue. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️

Setting up my own server will not solve the issue we are talking about. You can go and hide a profile of one user of MY server because you dont like his posts about chocolate cakes appearing in yours. Go figures.

You are responsible for the content of the users on YOUR server alone. With this capacity you are controlling the posts in other servers.

I am not on your server. But still, you choose to hide my profile affecting users that are in your instance.

I hope you understand that is censhorship and of the worst kind. It attacks the freedom of speech that is a right on many european countries.

Imagine if you hide the profile of a well known human rights activist?. 😒

It's disproportionate and wrong.

Is Modo Mesh Fusion mentioned on those threads?

Because it has a unique approach of fuse sub division meshes, and alter the width line where meshes join. All done with nodes.

Canva acquires Serif’s Affinity Suite, and I can’t help feeling doom about this.

I’ve worked with Canva in the past and they were good people, but this feels like a move towards subscriptions. I guess that’s kind of inevitable these days anyway, but being bought out often signals the end. I love the Affinity suite and I hope I’m wrong.

I'm having surgery next month and I just googled the price of such intervention out of curiosity.

In the US: 43000 USD.

In Europe: up to 3000 EUR.

In the US I would have had to opt out of a necesssary surgery.

In Europe it's covered by health my insurance, which I pay into every month with generous taxes.

It's a level of filthy comunism that US-Americans would never understand.
